Name[]

Where is this creature's name given? It is only called a giant "Shadow Insect" on any of the official sources - this isn't from that damn Prima guide, is it?KrytenKoro 22:56, 29 November 2007 (EST)

I'm pretty sure that name isn't official. I think it was a fan given name, but it's been excepted by other fans ans that is what it is known as around the inernet. Link hero of light
Its weird, though, since no other enemy has the "Twilit" appellation, except for boss titles. Its back from when Shadow Insects and Shadow Beasts were called Twilit Parasites and Twilit Assassins, which was just plain wrong (Diababa's the Twilit Parasite). At the least it should be "Shadow Bloat".KrytenKoro 01:05, 4 December 2007 (EST)

Actually, the Enterplay Twilight Princess trading cards give her name and title as Feeder of Darkness: Twilit Bloat. Since these trading cards were done with Nintendo's permision "Twilit bloat" would be considered her official name. BanaBana 21:48, 16 April 2008(UTC)

Good, I knew that it had to have an official name.--Link hero of light 22:21, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

I hate to be the voice of disapproval, but I'm not so sure that these trading cards can really be classed as "official". Surely they have the same status as the A Link to the Past (Barcode Battler II); take a look at the "links" section and you'll see many issues with these cards, I'm sure. These were also produced by a third party under license from Nintendo. Also, CD-i Games, anyone :) I know it's convenient to have a seemingly-official name source, but I think we have to take it in context and be a little more cautious... —Adam (talk) 17:55, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

Merge[]

I really do not think Shadow Insect should be merged with Twilit Bloat. The twilight bloat is the mother of all shadow insects, she is the most notable. She should have a page to herself. --Link hero of light 23:23, 14 December 2007 (EST)
