Cryonis

[[File:File:BotW Cryonis Rune Icon.png.png|20x20px]] [[|]] Cryonis is a Rune ability in Breath of the Wild. The Rune allows Link to create pillars of ice from a water's surface.

Location and Uses

The Cryonis Rune is obtained in the Keh Namut Shrine at the Great Plateau. The Cryonis Rune allows Link to spontaneously create pillars of ice from the surface of any body of water. When activated, the Rune creates blue grid lines across areas where there is water. From this area, Link can create a pillar of ice that will raise up from the water. The ice pillars created have various uses, and can be used as stepping stones, obstacles, as well as manipulate certain objects, such as opening a gate by raising a pillar beneath it. After using the Cryonis Rune, a timer gauge will appear which must reach full before Link can use Cryonis again.

In addition to creating pillars of ice, Cryonis can also be used to break them as well.
