Golden Octoroks are recurring Enemies in The Legend of Zelda series.[1]

Characteristics[]

Oracle of Seasons[]

The Golden Octorok, along with other Golden Monsters, appears around various regions of Holodrum in Oracle of Seasons after talking to a golden-robed Old Man. He can be found in the the cave near the Gnarled Root Dungeon while it is Summer and the water around it has receded. The Golden Octorok can be found in Spool Swamp while it is Summer. After defeating it, along with the other Golden Monsters, Link will receive a Magic Ring from the Old Man which, when appraised by Vasu, becomes the Red Ring.[2]

The Minish Cap[]

Up to three Golden Octoroks will appear, as well as the other Golden Monsters, after certain Kinstone Fusions in The Minish Cap. Like the other Golden Monsters, Golden Octoroks move much faster, take much more damage to defeat, and deal much more damage to Link than standard Red Octoroks. They can be found in the Minish Woods, the Wind Ruins, and the Western Wood. When defeated, they drop a large sum of Rupees.
