Wooden Shield

The Wooden Shield is a largely durable shield that is obtained through an event in several Zelda games. This shield is always superceded by a stronger, metallic version, though, in order to protect against all types of attack, especially fire, of which the Wooden Shield, like the Deku Shield, is highly vunerable to.

Oracle series

The Wooden Shield is the L-1 Shield in the Oracle Series. It can be upgraded to the L-2 Iron Shield and later the L-3 Mirror Shield through a Link Password.

Twilight Princess

The wooden shield is a replacement shield in Twilight Princess, available for purchase at the Malo Mart in Kakariko Villiage, in the event that Link's original Ordon Shield is destroyed on Link's quest by fire. The Ordon Shield is the default wooden shield available in the game; it functions a bit differently than the Wooden Shield, with a smaller, more circular appearance, but is used in exactly the same fashion and shields well against similar attacks.

Phantom Hourglass

The Wooden Shield also appears in Phantom Hourglass, looking much like the Hero's Shield from The Wind Waker, exceptionally bearing a lobster symbol in place of the Hylian Crest, though the Triforce symbol is still evident.
