Template:Enemy Winders, also known as Moldolas, are a recurring trap in Template:LZS. They are a moving row of fireballs resembling Sparks. They usually cannot be defeated.
Characteristics and Variations
Winders debuted in A Link to the Past. They are made of fire and are very similar to Sparks and Guruguru Bars. They first appear in the Swamp Palace, but are common in many Dark World dungeons. Unlike Sparks, their movement is unpredictable, as they change directions randomly whenever they hit an object. Winders have identical behavior in Four Swords and The Minish Cap, although in these appearances they can set fire to Link. In The Minish Cap, they can be found in the Temple of Droplets, the Palace of Winds, and Dark Hyrule Castle.
In both Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks, Winders are electrically charged and travel solely along walls. Simply touching one will shock and damage Link. In Spirit Tracks, they are named Moldolas. Moldolas are actually helpful against Heatoises, as they are weak against electricity.
Strategy
Winders are usually invincible, therefore it is best to avoid them entirely. However, in Spirit Tracks, they can be defeated by firing an Arrow at the "head" of it.
Trivia
- Their appearance in A Link to the Past, Four Swords, and The Minish Cap is similar to the Moldorm from The Legend of Zelda, as their names are also similar.
