[[File:File:Roc's Feather FSA.png.png|20x20px]] [[|]] Roc's Feather is an item that grants Link the ability to jump over single holes.

Location and Uses

The Roc's Feather is located inside Tail Cave in Link's Awakening. In Oracle of Seasons, it is found in Poison Moth's Lair; however, it is later stolen from Link by the Strange Brothers. The young hero must follow them undetected in order to see where they will hide it. In Oracle of Ages, Link can locate the Roc's Feather in the Wing Dungeon.

The Roc's Feather is also found in Four Swords Adventures. It allows the Links to jump over 3 holes. However, if Link gives it to a Great Fairy to upgrade it to a Level 2 Roc's Feather, it will give Link the ability to jump once more while he is midair.

In several games, such as Oracle of Ages, this item can be combined with Pegasus Boots or Pegasus Seeds in order to jump multiple holes at once.

Trivia

  • Although pink in Link's Awakening artwork and brown in the DX version, the Roc's Feather later permanently changes to blue for the remainder of the series starting with the Oracle games.
  • The Roc's Feather is believed to be named after the Roc, a mythical bird of enormous size and strength.
  • In Link's Awakening and the Oracle games, with enough skill, Link can actually jump over two holes instead of just one. If used with the Pegasus Boots (in Link's Awakening) or Pegasus Seeds (in the Oracle games), he can jump over three.
