Manga is the Japanese word for 'comics.' Outside of Japan, the term usually refers to comics made in Japan. Unlike U.S. comics, they often come in thick paperbacks and read from right to left.
There have been several manga about The Legend of Zelda, mostly following the plot lines of various games. It should be noted that these stories are not considered part of the canon.
