In Super Smash Bros.
In the Nintendo 64 game Super Smash Bros., the Yoshi's Island stage was based on the visuals from Yoshi's Story. The main body of the stage was relatively small, with three platforms and a main floor, all slanting towards the center of the stage. The stage also included three clouds which could be used for recovery, but disappeared after being stood on for an extended period of time.
In Super Smash Bros. Melee
The Yoshi's Island stage in Super Smash Bros. Melee was based off of the location of the same name in Super Mario World. It is somewhat enclosed by a slanted pipe to the left and a slope to the right. There are several platforms made of turning blocks, and turning blocks also cover the pits in the middle of the stage. The Yoshi's Island stage from Super Smash Bros. was also available as an unlockable stage.
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl
In the upcoming Wii game Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the Yoshi's Island stage is based off of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Island DS. It is a very small stage with just one platform. Sometimes, Support Ghosts pop up on the side of the stage, functioning as temporary platforms. The stage also features changing seasons.
The Yoshi's Island stage from Melee will be a selectable stage in Brawl.
