Majora's Mask
In Majora's Mask, the Waterfall Rapids are the area located at the far south end of Great Bay Coast. Since the entrance to the Waterfall Rapids is high above the land of Great Bay, the only way to access it is to use the Hookshot on the various palm trees that are upon several ledges leading to the top of the waterfall.
Inside the Rapids live two beavers, known as the Beaver Brothers, who consider empty bottles to be sacred items. Here, Zora Link can race them in the Beaver Falls Race to obtain a bottle and, later on, a Piece of Heart.
Twilight Princess
The Waterfall Rapids in Twilight Princess are the area which connects Lake Hylia with Upper Zora's River. It is first accessed in the Twilight Realm, using a Shadow Kargarok to travel through the dried-up canyon. After melting the ice in Zora's Domain, the flow of water returns to the Rapids. Two mini-games become available outside of the Twilight Realm, depending whether going upriver or downriver:
- Going against the rapids involves the Fruit Pop Flight Challenge, using a Kargarok for flight
- Going downstream involves traversing the Rapid Ride in a kayak (similar to the one used in lure fishing), while avoiding impact with walls.
