The Watarara are a race of bird people similar to the Rito which appear only in the Ocarina of Time manga bonus story entitled "Rouru of the Watarara". The Watarara ride the seasonal wind to Hyrule once a year due to their migration. As a Watarara matures they will grow wings from their arms, giving them the ability to fly. The young ride on their parent's back until they develop their wings. The characters of the Watarara Tribe that we are introduced to in the manga are the Tribal Leader Elrora; her son Lord Rouro, the heir to the throne; and his attendant, Guufo.
It should be noted that the Rito from The Wind Waker are similar to the Watarara, as they are both bird people. However, no other relation between the two has been confirmed.
