When linking to Zelda game articles

Greetings Noble Wrot. I am one of the senior editors here, and you can call me Goron Moron. I have came to bring something to your attention. I know you are new and we don't expect you to know all of the standards passed around here. Whenever linking game titles we use the format The Legend of Zelda, or Oracle of Ages for example. I know it's tedious to do, but we never link Twilight Princess as Twilight Princess always Twilight Princess.

When in doubt of the proper way to link a certain game, check a page gauranteed to have it such as Link's article. And welcome to ZW, feel free to join us in Skype chat or IM. The Goron Moron 06:19, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

Ah, ok. I'm taking in a lot of new things at once. I'll try to remember that and I'll get to the changes. Noble Wrot 06:23, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
I can help you if you need some help Noble. Just get me on MSN. - AtrumLevis  (My Talk Page) (My Contributions) 15:39, 10 May 2009 (UTC) (aka Shru :P)

Noble!

Hey, I have a preposition for you - I think we should collaborate in the reorganization of the Potion page. What do you think? I have an idea that I've presented on its talk page that I think you should look over and add to/comment on considering you are also an expert in this, especially after your victory over the Bomb article. I believe you could add a fresh look to the article, and that a reorganization of this size would be better be served collaboratively. =) — ciprianotalk 06:33, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

ZWAIF

We have relocated from Axi's sandbox to our own project page here. Please use this from now on :3Justin(Talk) 03:06, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

PH Doors.png

Greetings. I noticed that you added File:PH Doors.png to Zelda Wiki:Image Requests so I've tidied up the transparency. Is that what you had in mind? • Pete | 09:49, 20 January 2010 (UTC)

That is...beautiful. Thanks! There are still traces of red here and there. I'd like the color to be a solid white. Grayscale it, perhaps? I don't know how pretty that would look. You see, I screen capped the symbols by looking through various YouTube vids, so some of them, like the hourglass, look a little fuzzy and have those annoying lines through them, if you haven't noticed. I asked the guy who originally did them if he could trace and leave a transparent ambient effect on it, but you can see he didn't, so those lines are still there. Some people might night notice them, but I do, so...it bugs me. By the way, excellent job on those boss symbols. Noble Wrot 17:37, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
I've converted it to grayscale. Admittedly the full-size image looks a little flaky, but the only place it is used is on Symbols, and it looks fine at thumbnail-size there. To my knowledge, that's the last of the required transparency jobs. (twiddles thumbs) • Pete | 17:48, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
Nice. Noble Wrot 20:21, 20 January 2010 (UTC)

Wow

Please stop stealing content from Zeldapedia. If you even try to deny that your used Zeldapedia to make you Mad Batter article than I don't even know what to say. Seeing the extinsitivity of that article, it is near impossible to argue a coincidence or lack of info issue. --EDJoe45 08:19, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

Joe, stop trying to fuel a war between the two Wikis. ZP's article doesn't mention the fact that the name Mad Batter came from the LA Player's Guide, so I highly doubt that Noble Wrot got the information from ZP. Please remember that both ZW and ZP are providing encyclopedias about Zelda, and so any random article that features on both Wikis is going to have similar content and often structure. If you're really set on this competition between the two Wikis, ZP would benefit more if you spent time adding and improving articles there - attempting to beat ZW with article quality - rather than hanging around ZW's Recent Changes page trying to start arguments. Lysia 11:15, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
I was there when Garrett here told us that he specifically found information on Mad Batter from the LA player's guide. He didn't steal anything. We're writing on similar topics, so you just have to accept that we're going to have similar information. It's a fact of life :/ Justin(Talk) 16:17, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, wow. I just took what I knew about the games and wrote it down. I've been saying we needed this article for a few days, but I didn't know what to call it, so I searched through the guides last night and found what I needed. I'm an honest guy, and I did look at your article when trying to find out what to call this one, but I've found that you're not the only one's who call it Mad Batter. Lot's of people do. One of our character lists has the name "Mad Batter" in it, and I'm not going to bother figuring out who wrote what first because let's face it. The people who wrote the LA player's guide wrote it first. You didn't make it up. It's not like I copied and pasted anything, either. I know a lot about Zelda on my own, and if there's something I need to learn, I go after source material, not your articles. In fact, I'll have sources from the guides up today. Noble Wrot 16:20, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
I was going to make an epic response particularly aimed at the clueless first commentor, but this is a time waster so its easier to just give this short response abd let you know I saw your replies and don't really have much to say. I don't really want a fight but since your staff doesn't ever want to help I realize I have to take matters into my own hands should the situation ever present itself (hopefully it won't much at all if ever) instead of letting my issues fall on deaf ears. --EDJoe45 17:38, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

More Symbol Stuff!

While searching through the depths of the ZeldaInformer forums on downtime, I came across this link that discusses a lesser-known Zelda symbol that not only appears across many games in the Zelda series, but has an unknown meaning thus far. Wooo... scary! I think it's worth checking out if you want more symbols for your Symbols page! Cheers! — ciprianotalk 16:47, 30 April 2010 (UTC)

Thanks, dude. I always appreciate any help I can get. I've actually seen this symbol, and I've been trying to get a decent screen shot of it from TWW. Noble Wrot 19:34, 30 April 2010 (UTC)

Re: Gameplay Article

To avoid things like that to happen, use either a sandbox, Microsoft Word or NotePad, to write your work, and bring on the article to life when the text is fully made; that's what I did with the technology article (in this case, I used Word). You, instead, created the article itself at once, and from that moment onwards, it's subject to being expanded, modified, changed and the like by other users. And because the article was created as a main article, and not as a WikiExclusive (which does address the name of the author), THERE WAS NO REASON FOR YOU TO TAKE "CREDIT" FOR WAS WAS WRITEN IN IT. "I'll give you credit if you care to dip into the article again"? Yeah, as when I build up a four-year friendship with a love interest, only to be rejected after the declaration and to be told "but we can still be friends". No, I'm done with you and "your" newborn child. It's thanks to mean an rabid editors of your kind that I stopped editing Wikipedia forever, and most people did the same thing at some point.--K2L 22:05, 17 May 2010 (UTC)

Garrett, I have to agree with K2L. I'm sorry you didn't know that these articles should've been offline or out of the main space, but you've posted it and it is not private anymore. Underneath the edit form, you can read this: "Please note that all contributions to Zelda Wiki.org are considered to be released under the GNU Free Documentation License (see Zelda Wiki.org:Copyrights for details). If you do not want your writing to be edited mercilessly and redistributed at will, then do not submit it here." Now, I understand you wanted to submit it as a wiki exclusive, and I sympathize with how you would want to be the sole contributor. There's several options here:
 1. Submit it and pass it with credit going to K2L as well as yourself
 2. Leave it as is
 3. Request deletion of the article and continue to work on it alone
So I have to side with K2L, here.
Now, on to K2L himself. I do agree with what you've said (as I stated above,) but you're a little out of line. The way you put this message across is inappropriate. I understand your irritation, but lashing out is never the best way to resolve a discussion. Next time, please communicate your feelings in a calmer, less confrontational manner. Okay?
Now, then, please try to reach an agreement, here, alright?Justin(Talk) 22:47, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
I'm not being rabid. I've never had a problem like this before. Anyway, what's done is done. Noble Wrot 23:05, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
