[edit] Yet another return...
Hi. I'd be suprised if you did remember me, but I'm making a return! This time, it should be permanent. I'm almost ready to reveal my site after just picking up on it again. Unfortunately, I don't have a domain yet since I need somebody to help with the extension since I'm not good at picking them (.com .net or .org). Didn't you say that you had a website going too? - パックン 00:44, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
- I do remember you. Been a while. As far as extensions go, I'd go .net, that would be the best choice from those. For a second choice, .com would be it. .org implies it is some sort of organization, which is not the case with nearly all the zelda fansites. Zelda Wiki.org is, obviously, an organized effort of several fansites to establish the best English-language encyclopedia of Zelda information.
- Yeah I do have my own site, run it with same person. We've been focusing solely on the layout for a while. And it's a busy time right now, so we're not going to draw in members yet. Here's the link.—Matt (T C F S) 01:37, August 31, 2009 (UTC)
[edit] GIMP Logo
Hey, I was wondering- how do I place the GIMP icon at the top of my userpage? I figure that I've used GIMP long enough at this point. You guys have that one pretty well masked... or is it an admin enabled thing? I scanned yours and Steven's pages, and found nothing... —Alter 02:25, 6 September 2009 (UTC)
- It's well hidden in the meat of my coding. This template is how. I have it on my nav template so it would be on all the relevant pages without having to add it to each.—Matt (T C F S) 02:39, September 6, 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Heads Up
Just a heads up to anyone that might want to contact me. I am taking a break from active admin duties due to personal injury. I rather badly burned my hand in a cooking accident yesterday (see an image of it here). The medications I'm taking for the pain make me drowsy and I really am not up to much wiki editing at all at this time. Estimated recovery time is about three weeks.—Matt (T C F S) 04:56, September 17, 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, this is no fun at all. The pain from the burns and constant headaches are going to definitely stop me from editing much at all. If anyone's curious, I've got some pictures of my wound. But it's not for those with weak stomachs. It's rather graphic. If you think you can take it go ahead and look at them. They can be found at my Burned Hand Gallery on Facebook. It's a public gallery, you don't even need a Facebook account to see it. Wish me luck with the healing process I suppose.—Matt (T C F S) 06:09, September 20, 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Hi Matt
I dont know if you remember me or not but ive decided to rejoin the zeldawiki workforce and i would be happy to help--Lt. Hammerspace 08:22, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
[edit] ZW
We need to talk. Is there a more private medium we can converese at other than right here on the main site? --EDJoe45 17:03, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
- Skype. That's what I use all the time. It can be private there. My username is on that page and on my userpage.—Matt (T C F S) 17:06, September 27, 2009 (UTC)
[edit] I'm trying to help a little.
Hi, I'm an admin on ZP, and I'm here to try to smooth things out between our wikis before it becomes a full on bloodfeud. Could you direct any actual complaints about our articles to my talk page here, so I can try to deal with it in a better fashion than some of our members? here's the link: here Mr kmil
- That merely shifts the problem from your wiki to ours. It would probably be best to discuss any future problems between our wikis trough some private medium. One where our respective normal members can't go and make things worse. I'm sure you are aware of some of those incidents. Some instant messenger service would be best. We use Skype. And most every day most of our active staff is on at some point. That would be a preferable way to talk out problems rather than on either wiki in public view. That would make an embarrassing mess for both of us, as has already happened more than once.—Matt (T C F S) 21:36, September 30, 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, that might be a better idea. If you could tell me how to use Skype, that would be the perfect medium for the wikis. I'm sorry for the way my fellow editors acted. I mean, how would you feel if I started accusing you of stealing our page's information? Unfortunately, over at Zeldapedia, we tend to be a little proud.
Also, I was searching the internet for some pictures, and I discovered a site know as www.majhost.com. They have picture with the same blue border as your pictures here. Did your wiki specifically post them there as a backup of some sort, or did they post them there without you permission?
- We only post them here. Our member sites are allowed to use some of them. Anywhere else they show up is without our knowledge.—Matt (T C F S) 02:02, October 1, 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Little Problem, Can we talk in private?
Hi Matt, I was wondering if you're logged on, and if you can tell me how to use Skype, because a little issue came up that we need to talk about. Mr kmil 0:35 wiki time
Wait, my computer is blocking it. Could you come to my talkpage on Zeldapedia? I'll make sure that it's private.
- I have Yahoo messenger too. Username's at the top of my userpage here. That should work with most messengers if they work for you. —Matt (T C F S) 00:44, October 3, 2009 (UTC)
Alright, I've got it installed. Just log in, and I'll find you.
Mr kmil, knight of Zeldapedia 00:50, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
Okay, That worked good. Bye

[edit] Anti-Userpage Vandalism Coding
Could you please direct to me to where I can find some way to protect my page with special anti-vandalism coding? I've made some harsh enemies at ZU, and I don't want my page ruined by some stupid little kiddy with a grudge.-Neo(U) (T) (C) (Home) 14:32, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
- Vandalism isn't that common around here. Vandals that do come around are dealt with quickly. And in the off chance it does get vandalized we'll certainly not just let them get away with it. Plus you'd then get to enjoy the battle scar.—Matt (T C F S) 17:15, October 3, 2009 (UTC)
Replace your userpage with this:
<!--<?p<!--d->h<!--d->p $><!----!>-->__<!--T!<--<!-->N<!----!>-->O<!----!>-->E<!----
!>-->D<!----!>-->I<!--d<!--<!-->T<!--d<!--<!-->S<!--d<!--
<!-->E<!--F<!--<!-->C<!--y<!--<!-->T<!--d<!--<!
-->I<!--e<!--<!-->O<!--d<!--__<!-->N<!--4<!--<!-->__<!--d<
!--<!__-->{{<!----!>-->/<!----!&>-->W<!--@--!>-->i<!----5!
>-->k<!--<!--l<!--__-->i<!--<!--<!__-->s<!--<!--<!-->t<!--<!--h--!>
<!-->u<!--<__>--f<!--<!G-->f<!--<!#--<!-->f<!--A--!>D-->}}<!--d<!--<!?>-->
Then follow the redlink it produces. That would be your new userpage.—Matt (T C F S) 18:09, October 3, 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks, Matt. I got it up on my page, along with some nice, choice words for vandals. ;)-Neo(U) (T) (C) (Home) 20:24, 3 October 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Zant's Invasion of Hyrule
I will thank you to quit saying my work is "conjecture or wrongly sourced material", b/c I sourced it correctly, and you have no policy and therefore no right to call my work that. It is for reasons like this that I have a hard time trusting some of you, and you damage the respect I have for you when you make mistakes such as these. You know good and well that I properly sourced the material, and your opinion of what is and isn't fan fiction appears greatly flawed. I am tired of these shenanigans being pulled on me and for certain people taking sides when they really aren't supposed to based upon flawed reasoning. If this is how I am going to be treated as a user and editor and you're going to always show bias in favor of GD11 on everything without regard for seeking compromise, then I am not inclined to strive to create anything new or interesting for this wiki, or do much work for it at all for that matter b/c I feel that certain people are simply pulling these actions to get rid of me. I didn't see you or Mandi doing anything about the article until Ganondordude11 bungled into it and began ripping it apart to his liking. I didn't see either of you telling him to calm down or to compromise, as you are supposed to do. All I saw was a couple of people known for seeking conflicts with me siding with a disgruntled user that would have things his way or no way. Why did none of these "accusations" against the article not show up until now, when it's been like that for over a week??? You can't blame me for my suspicions being raised that bias is being shown here. I'm sorry if any of this seems disrespectful, it's not meant to be, but I feel that some of you had no right and no reason to accuse me of false doings and to bash my work merely for the sake of bashing. If you're just going to tear what I do down every time and falsely accuse it of being "fan fiction" when it really isn't, then I'm never going to try to make any new projects for the wiki again. Link87 19:53, 6 October 2009 (UTC) \
- We have had an unwritten policy on canon for a long time. It has been placed into writing now at Zelda Wiki.org:Canon Policy. There are still additions that need to be made to it (like developer quotes or the discontinuing of the Nintendo's Player guide line), but what is specified there now is policy. And it is expected to be upheld. And we will not tolerate this view of yours that you are immune from the rules. You are not. Stop attacking us every time you don't get what you want. This isn't your wiki.—Matt (T C F S) 19:59, October 6, 2009 (UTC)
-
- "Unwritten policy" does not hold water if it's not in writing Matt, that's how it is in the real world. And you once again trying to accuse me of "being above the rules" only proves to me that this is a personally motivated attack against me once again. This is why I have a hard time trusting some of you, and the only people that are responsible for that are you guys. This isn't your wiki by the same token, and showing bias consistently toward a single party does not show compromise or bipartisanship. I don't care that you want the aftermath out of the article, I'm willing to accept that. But you running what I do for the wiki down all the time and calling it things it really isn't does nothing to make me more amiable toward you or others. It is you guys that ought to stop attacking me and actually try reaching out to me for once rather than trying to distract from what's really taking place. I have respect for all of you, but you damage it every time you accidentally reveal personal motivations in these situations. Link87 20:19, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Farewell!
Goodbye, Matt. You were a damn fine admin. *moment of silence*-Neo(U) (T) (C) (Home) 19:08, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Hello
Hello Id like to voice a complaint with this wiki. And I have to talk to an admin..... Oh wait, I forgot youve been chased out because this place is corrupt as all sin. --EDJoe45 00:19, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
- You are more than welcome to check check out this page for a list of people you can contact in the future. =] --Xizor 00:23, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
[edit] WELCOME BACK!!
YOU'RE BACK!!!! Yay! Welcome back, Matt! Sorry you've lost your staff position, but it's good to have you back as an editor nonetheless.
What made you return, though?-Neo(U) (T) (C) (Home) 16:47, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
- YOU LOST YOUR POSITION?!?! That's not good... Oh well. You'll get it back eventually! Best of luck! And good to see everything is good. SMASHBROTHER101 23:53, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
- ...let's not talk about that. Anyways, maybe you'll get yourself back the respect of the other admins. I'm not really sure what happened other than what I heard from Axi, but I don't care. A good editor's a good editor. Maybe you can even get next in line after Alter! (Yes, Alter's VERY close to a promotion.)-Neo(U) (T) (C) (Home) 02:45, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
Ah. I see. Thank you! SMASHBROTHER101 21:56, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Image Editing trouble
I'm uploading an image of Eldin (the light spirit) as a png. However, it keeps telling me that the image is corrupt. What should I do? SMASHBROTHER101 11:45, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
