Images[]

Hi there! I just wanted to point out a couple of errors I spotted while you were dealing with image transparencies.

There's a file that you deleted ("Superseded: there's already a transparent version of this"), but it's still in use in this article, so you'd need to replace that with the transparent version you found. I's important before deleting any file to make sure that there are no links to it remaining.

Also, I saw that you removed File:PhLink1.jpg from the Image Requests page for the same reason, without replacing the image here with the transparent version or deleting it.

Just wanted to make you aware, since it can be harder to fix these kind of things if they go unnoticed. Thanks Adam [ talk ] 12:44, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

I had actually been checking the "What links here" before I would delete an image, but...yeah...I forgot to do it on those two. I've fixed the images now on those two pages, so thanks for letting me know! Dany36 13:06, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

Hyrule - Round 1[]

Hey Dany, I just wanted to let you know that I have finished with the "Appearances by Game" section, so you are free to commence reference work from the beginning of the article all the way through that section. You may also do the "Government", "Currency", "Military", and "Theology" sections as well. The others though, such as "Minor Appearances", "Locations and Landmarks", and "Races of Hyrule" are still under construction, so we can do those in Round 2. Thanks so much for your help with this too! ;) Link87 18:30, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

Alright, no problem! I'll see what I can get done tonight. :) Got all weekend free to work on this, so hopefully I'll get those sections done. Dany36 18:32, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
Uhhh actually, before I get started on adding references to Hyrule, I'd like to expand the Tetra article a bit more. It has so much potential! I don't think it will take me too long, so once I'm done with that, I'll DEFINITELY get some Hyrule work done, hehe. ;p Dany36 03:53, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

Town of Saria[]

Dany, look what you reverted it to. At the top. I was simply toning down the statement. I feel the same way. If you don't mind, I'll change it back. Alter  {T C B H } 23:37, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

Templates[]

I was just wondering if there is a way to move a template to the left side of a page in order to balance the page? I was going to add charecter templates to all the charecters on The Indigo-Go's page but I felt it would off set the balance of the page by putting all the images on one side in the templates. Archon 17:07, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

Hmmm...I'm not sure if it's possible, but an admin right now is trying it out to see if it's possible. I'll get back to you in just a couple of minutes. Dany36 17:12, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
Well, apparently a new template would have to be created in order for it to show up on the left side of the screen. There's also little difference in the information between one Zora and the next, so the template would be rendered useless, don't you think? HOWEVER!! If you would like to work on expanding the each of the character sections in The Indigo-Go's page, that would be much appreciated since they could use a little help. :D Dany36 17:29, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
Okay, Thanks for the help and I'll do what I can.Archon 14:49, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

Fishing[]

Hey, thanks for all of your work on the Fishing and Fishing Hole pages. I can tell you put a lot of work into them. They really needed help, and they look a lot better, thanks to you. Alter  {T C B H } 06:06, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for your words of encouragement! :D The Fishing Hole was indeed a mess, but I'm pretty proud of the way it looks now. I'll have to finish up the Fishing page later, though, since it's getting late. :P Thanks again! :) Dany36 06:11, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

Purge Tab[]

User:Axiomist/monobook.js I meant to post this to you last night. :P Sorry. Create a page with your name and copy everything from mine to yours, I think you need the edit view text from my page tho. Adam made some changes to his, I haven't gotten to ask about that yet, but this still works. Axiomist (talk) 05:56, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

Actually, I've just added the purge tab to MediaWiki:Common.js, so it now displays for all users. However, you should probably copy my current monobook.js so you get access to the admin tools (along with any future updates). Adam [ talk ] 11:41, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

Potion Page[]

From now on I won't be doing huge updates since I used up my entire day yesterday to make those changes only for it to have been a wasted day. I really have no other ideas about that page, other than grouping the games that have the Water of Life as the Potion (LOZ & TAoL), grouping those that have the Medicine as the Potion (ALttP, LA, LA:DX)& grouping those that have official Potion as Potion (OOT, MM, OoS, OoA, WW, PH, etc). That way redundancies could be eliminated. It looked very scattered to me before. There was information regarding The Legend of Zelda more than halfway into the page after games that came after it like Ocarina of Time had been mentioned earlier in the page.

If I work on anything over the next few days, it will be the characters section of A Link to the Past since that's my favorite Zelda game & I think that section could really be expanded. I hope my work there won't be reverted.Wtc4ever 17:48, 12 September 2009 (UTC)

Block Removal Request[]

Dany, this is Chris. I apologize for having to create a second account, but Matt has blocked my account for fabricated reasons and this is the only way I can communicate with anyone. I am writing to ask you for your help in resolving this dispute between the two of us and to ask if you can remove the block on my account, as I have done nothing to warrant it. I have been trying to resolve the issue with Matt, but he has only escalated things to this point. I am requesting the block on my account be removed immediately, because I am to the point that I'm ready to quit the wiki altogether for this major breach of trust between an admin and a hard-working user. I am grateful for your assistance as always, and I hope we can resolve this, because my only wish is to help build the wiki up, which Matt is hindering. Chris87 16:43, 14 September 2009 (UTC)

Hey, Chris! I was hoping things wouldn't escalate to the point of you getting banned, but...well, I can't promise you I'll be able to get you unbanned. I'm not the only admin of the Wiki, and I'm a little bit bothered that this ban wasn't discussed before it was delivered, but what's done is done and that's that, and it would be wrong of me to reverse an action that was made by an admin before discussing it with him and the rest of the staff. I'm sure that later on when the rest of the admins are online, we'll discuss this matter and come to a conclusion. Don't get me wrong, Chris, I like you and respect you as an outstanding editor of the Wiki, but sometimes the attitude that you seem to display towards other admins comes off as somewhat rude or arrogant. Yes, I know that's not what you are trying to come off as, and I know you're only trying to do what's best for this wiki (which, as always, is appreciated), but other people might think of it in other terms and start treating you in a hostile manner because of that. The fact is that they are members with authoritative powers, and whether or not other people like it, they have to be respected since they could (as seen here) deliver a ban and leave members like you with a bitter taste of Zelda Wiki, which is DEFINITELY NOT what we want. We want to be in good terms with every member so that they'll help us improve the Wiki like you have always done.
I won't take sides and say that Matt was right or that you are right. Yes, I'm sure it's frustrating when you are working on a huge article such as Hyrule and you put your best into it, and then other members or staff come in and say YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG when they haven't given exact opinions on how the article should be written or laid out, but well...actually...I'm not even 100% sure on WHY you were banned. Was it because of the argument you and Ganondorfdude11 had about the Lost Woods picture? Was it because you were reverting his edits? I don't know. All I know is that you were trying to have a civilized talk with him about how the article should be written so that the two of you could come to an agreement and keep on with your work. So I'll try to stay impartial with this, state the facts and do what I can so that I won't get the staff OR you against me. Hopefully this will be resolved before the day is over. Thank you for understanding, and I hope you'll stick with us through this and see what can be done. If you have any other questions or comments, you can either leave them here or contact me via Skype (which would be faster, hehe). Dany36 17:15, 14 September 2009 (UTC)

Hyrule page locked[]

Hey Dany, I have a question to ask you: Can you find out why Xizor felt it necessary to lock the Hyrule page, or can you unlock it yourself? He has locked the page, and we are very close to completing it, but we can't even finish the last sections or have you put in the references unless this lock is lifted. I hope to hear back from you soon, and thanks for all your help as always. Chris Link87 14:32, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

Well, he stated the reasons in its talk page as to why he locked the article, so I don't know what else to tell you. I'm sure that once the "drama" surrounding the Hyrule article has died down a bit, it'll get unlocked. It shouldn't be a problem, though, since apparently the subpages aren't locked, so you can still work on the Appearances and Locations/Landmarks sections and finish those up. :) Of course, once you're done with the Landmarks, I'll start gathering as many references as I can to add them to the page, but I don't want to cause edit conflicts (since those are annoying), so I'm just gonna wait until that subpage is completely finished as far as writing goes. So don't worry too much about the Hyrule page being locked, since as Xizor mentioned, it's only temporary. Thanks for being patient, and thanks again for all your work! :) Dany36 17:16, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

Ganondorf's Execution/Overthrow of Midna Sources[]

Hey Dany, do you think you could help put in some sources for Ganondorf's Execution and the Overthrow of Midna? They are two fairly short pages that do need sources nonetheless, and they are ready for them now. Zant's Invasion of Hyrule won't be ready for those for a little while, but those two are. Thanks a bunch Dany! ;) Link87 15:14, 24 September 2009 (UTC)

Hey Chris! Sorry I haven't even started on the references for the Hyrule Landmarks page... The truth is I've been pretty busy with college and whatnot, so I don't know when I'll get a chance to start editing again. I'll try to get the references done for the Landmarks page, and hopefully I'll get those done this weekend, then I can do the Ganondorf's Execution and Overthrow of Midna ones. :D I love adding references to articles, so I'll get to them as quickly as I can! ;) Dany36 18:47, 24 September 2009 (UTC)

Redirect Oops![]

Thanks for reminding me that before I "fused" the Kinstone Fusion article I should have done that. =) I totally forgot... User:Cipriano 119/sig 19:49, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

Since you're on[]

Can you take a look at the comment I left on Adam's talk page? I'm on my Wii, so I can't copy and paste it.

You're going to need to check recent changes and use the (diff) option to find it on his page, though. I had to hide it for my own protection purposes.Justin(Talk) 02:46, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

Mr. Ed[]

Hey Dany, we have a disgruntled Zeldapediot that is basing our wiki and is resulting to insulting the admin council as well as myself. I thought I would bring this to your attention so you and the council can determine the best course of action to take with this very rude person. Link87 00:27, 2 November 2009 (UTC)

Dany, this person has been harassing me and accusing me of being someone I've already told him I am not. Could you please tell him to refrain from harassing me as he is beginning to creep me out. Link87 00:34, 2 November 2009 (UTC)

Something to think about[]

Look at my suggestion. I know you guys are iffy about him, but I want my opinion known.Justin(Talk) 04:33, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

Wrong Release Date for Spirit Tracks[]

Hey Dany, I'm sorry to bother you with this, but I think we may have the wrong release date for Spirit Tracks on the site. I just came from Wal-Mart and Gamestop here where I live, and both are saying it comes out tomorrow, the 8th, not today. Do you know if such a change of date took place recently, or what needs to be done to change the date on the countdown clock and the page for the game? I don't know what others are experiencing trying to get the game today, but I suspect many are in for a major disappointment as I was. The online sources like Wikipedia still say the 7th, but the stores themselves informed me that it's tomorrow I'm afraid. I may check another Wal-Mart out of town to see if they give me the same response, but so far, two places have confirmed to me that it's release is tomorrow, not today. I'll report back if I have more from the other Wal-Mart that's out of town. Link87 18:33, 7 December 2009 (UTC)

No need. The shipping date is today, and some people who have friends that are employees can get them. The actual date is the 8th. Alter  {T C B H } 18:47, December 7, 2009 (UTC)
Ok, thanks Alter, I appreciate the confirmation. I just wanted to be sure I'm not the only person having problems getting a copy of the game. Does that not make the release date wrong then on the page? Should it not read that the game truly releases the 8th instead of the 7th? Link87 18:48, 7 December 2009 (UTC)

How about this:[]

Since you are the first active admin I saw on your recent changes, then I'll pass this on to you. I asked the other admins over at ZP about working something out with you guys. What we came up with is just like a neutral grounds deal. We won't flame you, and you won't flame us. If someone from either wiki does start something, it will be put to an end, and discussed with the admins of the users home wiki. Sound fair?CC 23:02, 12 December 2009 (UTC)

Sounds good to me. Perhaps we can further discuss this outside of the wiki with all of the current active admins of both wikis to make sure that every staff member is aware of this. A group chat would be good. Some of our admins would prefer if it were done outside of the IRC, but as long as this gets done, I guess it doesn't matter. Dany36 23:12, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
Do you have any ideas where? Not all the ZP admins have Skype. So anyother place?CC 23:15, 12 December 2009 (UTC)

Problem[]

As you may have noticed, I've been working on the disambiguation links. However, I seem to have hit a snag. Comic redirects to Comics, which is a disambiguation. This shows up there. Is there any way to fix that?Justin(Talk) 16:23, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

You can just remove the redirect by clicking on the link that redirected you at the top of the page. Dany36 16:28, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
I know, but the redirect is there for a reason. It's there in case someone types "comic" into the search box. If we remove it, they get a blank page. If we retargeted it, where would it point to? There's several comics, here.Justin(Talk) 16:34, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
Ah, I see what you mean now. Well...maybe there's no choice but to either leave the disambig there, or just remove the link. :/ Dany36 17:01, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
Redirects linking to disambigs is fine, the only thing that really matters is the in-article links to disambig pages. Sorry I didn't clarify that. Axiomist (talk) 17:30, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
But it bothers me to have that show up on the disambiguation paaaaaaage! Can't we remove it somehow?Justin(Talk) 02:56, 25 December 2009 (UTC)

Wizzar[]

-A copy of this is on my talk page- That was a mistake by the translaters, just like the mistake of them calling Wizzars, Wizzrobes in the American manual. Thus that statement you made is faulty. Plus, in all of those cases you mentioned. They were still called "Uizurobu" in the japanese games, Wizzar was called "Uizuzaru" in the japanese games. Tharthan 00:13, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
