My name is Matthew "Matt" James Rieckman (pronounced like REEK-MAN). I'm also known as mjr162006 (I sometimes capitalize the m). I took it from my e-mail address. I created my current e-mail account in 2006. The meaning of the letters and numbers are: "m" for Matt — my first name, "j" for James — my middle name, "r" for Rieckman — my last name, "16" my age when I created my e-mail account, and "2006" the year I created my e-mail account. Put it together and you have "mjr162006."

I live in the state of South Dakota of the United States. It's next to Minnesota and south of North Dakota ^_^. If you see me editing at around 8:00AM UTC (3:00AM here), then I woke up involuntarily - damn birds - and am unable to resume sleep. Graduated from high school in May of 2008, actually the day after I wrote this paragraph, and was accepted to a public university for a degree in mathematics. My classes were over May 13,but I have had a lot of free time during school for the last month. The graduation ceremony was on May 18.

My school was a K12 school. That means that it is a elementary, middle, and high school all in one building. Only the middle school has a science fair. I took first place two years in a row. In 9th grade, I won first place at the state level in land judging. I then went on to nationals and placed 33rd, out of about three or four thousand. I won first place in Aquaculture - fish related - in 11th grade. That was the result of a three-year project. In twelfth grade, I received a State FFA degree. That is the highest award a FFA member can receive at the state level. I went to National Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana in October of 2007. There were over 50,000 members there.

I am very good at mathematics. When I say I didn't learn anything in math class, it is the truth. In my senior year, and through most of high school, I did not learn anything in Calculus class that I had not already took upon myself to learn beforehand. As a consequence of this, I was the "second teacher" of the class. Our calc class was a distance learning class. That means that we go to a special room and a class from another school connects with us through microphones, cameras, and displays. Our teacher was the only one in our school to teach a distance learning class.

I came to Zelda Wiki.org in the middle of the month of April in 2008. I didn't edit much at first. I wasn't really sure how much of anything worked. But, thankfully, users like Adam and Ando were there to guide me. In a few week's time I rapidly became one of the most active members on Zelda Wiki.org.

One of my first goals was to make grammatical corrections. Starting out, I intentionally mis-spelled the word grammar as grammer. Ando claims that he noticed right away, and he most likely did. It took a few days before Adam came up and said something. Now the use of "grammer" is sort of a running joke of mine.

One day I decided that there need to be more boss favorite userboxes. So I started making them. Since some boss pictures didn't look good in some colors, I made each of the boss favorite userboxes a different color. A few though, I intention left out one character for the color hex code so that the color matched the background.

I absolutely despise lying. If I see a problem with how someone is acting, I will not sugar-coat it! I will not lie to spare someone's feelings. That would only harm him/her more in the long run. I am well-known for being brutally honest. This is my nature. Nothing will ever change that. If anyone is ever offended by this, just remember that offense is never intended.

One day in April of 2008 in school during holding tank, a period of school right after lunch for students that are not in choir, I had no homework at all and I was rather bored. I was using my Tablet PC, each student is given one to use for the school year and this was the first year. I was browsing on Wikipedia on a few The Legend of Zelda pages and I came across links to Zeldapedia and Zelda Wiki.org. I didn't know before then that there were dedicated wikis for Zelda Games. So I decide I'll check them both out and join the one I liked best. Well fate, apparently, was on the side of Zelda Wiki.org. My school had blocked Zeldapedia because it fell under the category of belong to Wikia. All wikis hosted by Wikia were blocked. So I came here(a few parts like the chatroom and a few others were blocked here too). I'm now glad that I did. I have since made some major contributions to ZeldaWiki.org. I can't live without this place. Upon being able to set up my internet connection at my home computer, that's why my screen resolution in the above userbox changed, I was able to access every part of this site that was blocked at my school, as well as Zeldapedia. I had wireless internet for the Tablet, but I prefer a hard-line connection. It is faster.

Upon looking at Zeldapedia, I was not impressed. Sure some of the things that they were using over there were pretty cool, it really was inappropriate for an encyclopedia. It made the site seem more like a forum and a fan site, and not a professional work. Also I didn't like the idea of the fate of my wiki being at the mercy of the whim of a huge company that cared little for the content.

So I decided to stick here. I now consider the fate of Zelda Wiki.org intertwined with my own. If I see the Wiki going in a bad direction, then yes I will go into overdrive mode and try help to turn us back on to a clear course.

Some people asked me if I wanted to be a sysop here. I said that I can do it. I already have the trust of the active sysops just as I trust them. But instead of begging for the position, I just go out and work to better the wiki. Rushing the staff's decision is not something I want to do. I the person who is on this site more than any other at the moment. Yes if I was a sysop it might make things a little better, but right now my main focus is to improve the site. I watch out for vandalism even though it is rare here thanks to our awesome staff here and the great decisions that they made to protect this site. I'm always willing to help out newcomers to the site. We get a few of those each week.

Calculus class. Mega-sized assignments. There were three more work days left. Took him ten minutes to get the tape off. And Boy A never found out that the tape was placed there by Boy B. The rest us had no reason to inform either the teacher or Boy A of the details. We still are not sure if Boy B planned the whole thing or was just lucky. But it is likely that he did in fact plan it since it's usually Boy A doing all the stupid things. (Yes the test Boy B mentioned above was a calc test.)
