You got Marin! Is this your big chance?

Need I say more?
Bio
I live in the state of South Dakota of the United States. It's next to Minnesota and south of North Dakota.
I came to Zelda Wiki.org in the middle of the month of April in 2008. I didn't edit much at first. I wasn't really sure how much of anything worked. But, thankfully, users like Adam and Ando were there to guide me. In a few week's time I rapidly became one of the most active members on Zelda Wiki.org.
I absolutely despise lying. If I see a problem with how someone is acting, I will not sugar-coat it! I will not lie to spare someone's feelings. That would only harm him/her more in the long run. I am well-known for being brutally honest. This is my nature. Nothing will ever change that. If anyone is ever offended by this, just remember that offense is never intended.
Twinkle, twinkle, little Cucco...
I am gold and not for you-oo...
—Golden Cucco (Twilight Princess)
How I came to Zelda Wiki.org
Upon looking at Zeldapedia, I was not impressed. Sure some of the things that they were using over there were pretty cool, it really was inappropriate for an encyclopedia. It made the site seem more like a forum and a fan site, and not a professional work. Also I didn't like the idea of the fate of my wiki being at the mercy of the whim of a huge company that cared little for the content.
So I decided to stick here. I now consider the fate of Zelda Wiki.org intertwined with my own. If I see the Wiki going in a bad direction, then yes I will go into overdrive mode and try help to turn us back on to a clear course.
In the third week of November 2008, I was voted onto the site staff. I'm now a sysop here. I watch out for vandalism, even though it is rare here thanks to our awesome staff here and the great decisions that they made to protect this site. I'm always willing to help out newcomers to the site. We get a few of those each week.
So now you know how I came to be here. You also now have some idea of what is going on in my mind. Now keep on reading all the funny quotes on this page!!!
Classic. One of the more obscure quotes. Happens after Link repeatedly beats a Cucco. Marin must be following Link!
Gaming History
Here are is a list of systems that I have owned at one point. Following in parentheses is my current status with that system
- Nintendo Entertainment System (dysfunctional)
- Super Nintendo Entertainment System (given to a younger family member)
- Game Boy (dysfunctional)
- Virtual Boy (functional, only own one game)
- Sega Genesis (functional, well I lost the power cord, but it should still work!)
- Sony Playstation One (functional, only own one game)
- Nintendo 64 (functional)
- Nintendo Gamecube (functional)
- Game Boy Advance (dysfunctional, bad d-pad)
- Game Boy Advance SP (functional)
- Nintendo DS Lite (functional)
I hate the direction that Nintendo is going with controls. They are even worse for your health than normal control pads. They are more prone to wear-and-tear than other platforms' controls. The only thing that will make me want to buy a Wii is the release of a new Zelda game.
Uh! Rare color of wolf! Looks tasty... But tonight fish night. Maybe another time.

Uh! You that tasty-looking wolf. Me remember! [Looks to Yeta] ...Breakfast, uh?

[Sighs depressively] Uh... that too bad...

My Timeline
There are three, and only three, possible timelines. If you claim a timeline other than one of these three, Then keep in mind that I will constantly be thinking this about it in my head:
- "Wrong, wrong, wrongey, wrongo, wrongity, wrong, wrong!"
- I'm just kidding... ... or am I???
You heard me right. I do have evidence. It is called logical reasoning. Check out the discussion I mention below for details.
- Keep in mind that each timeline has some flaw in it.
Timelines

Important Points
Here are the strong-points of the various timelines:
Timeline A:
- Since the Oracle series is in the Child Line in this timeline, Twinrova is still alive to revive Ganon since Twinrova only died in the Adult Line.
Timeline B:
- The Prologue of TWW refers to the various Links from the preceding games.
- Ganon's being sealed in the Sacred Realm in Ocarina of Time is what is referred to in A Link to the Past. He partially breaks the seal in Four Swords Adventures, as in the "Ganon" in that game is only a "projection". Ganon is still in the Sacred Realm, but created a minion in his likeness, a clone of sorts, to do his bidding in the light world.
Timeline C:
- The Great Deku Tree's plan to create new land succeeds in creating a new Hyrule, explaining why the Hyrule looks like a bunch of connected islands in LoZ/AoL.

Magnus orion and I had a long and detailed talk on the matter (see Timeline Talk for details).

I will assume the title of Hero of Time, temporarily, in the event of vandalism.

Kotake: And I'm just 380 years old!
Koume: We're twins! Don't try to lie about your age!

Kotake: How can you be so ungrateful?
Koume: You're heartless!
Kotake: You ungrateful... (they both fly up to beyond)
Both: I'll come back to haunt you!Table of Completions and Attempts
This table was ripped from David's userpage who ripped it from Douken's user page who ripped it from Ando's user page who ripped it from Ian Moody's user page.
Guidelines:
"Times Beaten" means number of times the game's main storyline was completed in its entirety(not including side-quests), not how many times the final boss was defeated. "Times Started" is the number of times that a new game was started. "Greatest Completion" is the farthest point reached in a game. That includes side-quests and extras. This all means that the times beaten should never exceed times started.
Usage:
Since I'm one of the early users of this table, I'm keeping who I got it from. To prevent this chain from getting too long, I'll let anyone copy this table to his/her userpage, with no requirement to state that he/she obtained it from my page (although it would be appreciated). That is provided that he/she adheres to the above guidelines and that it is used in a professional manner.

Don't know what games I'm talking about? Then see this.
Here is a quote that would cause Link to feel rather afraid.
Unless you cheat or use some dirty tricks, you have no chance.
And if you do cheat...you will pay dearly.

You... Did you really win? Without cheating? If I find out that
you cheated, human, you will pay.

Memorable Non-Zelda Quotes
These are some of the funniest/dumbest things I've heard people say. No these aren't typos. This is actually what they said.
Warning: Some quotes contain language that may be offensive to some people. The worst one, known by some as the "f-word", is censored with asterisks.
How many hours are there between noon and six-o-clock? Don't you have to add a twelve or something?

If I don't pass this test, I am seriously fu***d! [turns around
to find the teacher standing right behind him] Oh... um... I didn't
know you were here!
—Boy B (I've never seen a face so red before.
The teacher just smiled and shook his head.)
Here's a rather funny incident. This is probably the cleverest trick I have ever seen someone pull off.
- The teacher and the rest of the class walk in. It takes a few minutes for anyone to notice anything.
- He goes up to the camera. He discovers the tape.
Yes it was. Just for that, you've got to turn in the assignment tomorrow.
Everyone else turns it in at the regular time. Now come here and peel off this tape!
—The Teacher
- Calculus class. Mega-sized assignments. There were three more work days left. Took him ten minutes to get the tape off. And Boy A never found out that the tape was placed there by Boy B. The rest us had no reason to inform either the teacher or Boy A of the details. We still are not sure if Boy B planned the whole thing or was just lucky. But it is likely that he did in fact plan it since it's usually Boy A doing all the stupid things. (Yes the test Boy B mentioned above was a calc test.)
Murchadah and AuronKaizer said these.

Game Abbreviations
Here are the game abbreviations I use. Most are the same as the ones on the Zelda Timeline page. Official North America or Europe games only.
It appears that my, rather simple, abbreviation for Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland has since become the de facto standard for Zelda Wiki.org. It don't have a clue where that other one came from. Tingle Role Playing Game, that doesn't make any sense. It isn't a role playing game really.

Second Favorite Dialog
Spoiler warning: The following contains key plot or ending details.
- This is the dialog at the end of the Ghost Ship level in Phantom Hourglass.
"Is that... Tetra? What are we going to do? She's... a statue!"
- [Enter Linebeck]
"Oh. Hey. Sorry I'm late, kid! That fog just disappeared, so I charged in to find you. So... about that treasure! You got piles of it, right?"
- Ciela:
"How... how can you even say that?! Link's friend is in trouble! And all you can think about is treasure?!"
- [Linebeck steps closer and looks a Tetra]
- Linebeck:
"Oh, so this is your friend? She's looking a bit pale."
- [Linebeck begins pounding on Tetra's head and examines her face.]
- Linebeck:
"Ooh, something isn't right with this girl! Her... soul didn't get sucked away, did it?!"
- Unkown Person:
"This evil ship drained away her life force."
- [All able turn to see who has come.]
- Ciela:
"Grandpa! What are you doing here?!"
- [Oshus walks up to Link.]
- Oshus:
"If you have come this far, Link... The power of the hero is with you. Now is the time for me to tell the rest of the story. You're a clever boy. You may already know this... You see, these seas are my domain. I am not Oshus... I am the Ocean King. I was savagely attacked by an unfathomable evil. His name... is Bellum."
- [Oshus begins to hold up various images as he continues his story.]
- Oshus:
"His evil ran so deep that it leeched the very life force from me. As you know, every creature in this world possesses a sacred power. This power is called life force. The Sand of Hours is a physical manifestation of that power. And that is what brought them here. I struggled against my attacker in a great clash. But his evil was so dark that it slowly drained away my own life force. He was always a step ahead of my attacks, and I was eventually overcome. I was dragged to the sunless depths of the temple..."
"Sealed up, my life force continues to drain away. Using the life force he leeched from me... His evil spread, and bred more and more foul monsters. The spirits of Power and Wisdom were also imprisoned. But Ciela managed to split her soul and escape. That split was why so much of her memory was lost."
"Even among the monsters born of the Sand of Hours, some are especially evil. The Phantoms who roam my temple take after the evil of their master. Supernatural strength, wrapped in plate armor... virtually invincible. They prowl the temple, searching for victims. No one can harm them. Of course, they were created to be untouchable."
"I had only one option. My ocean of strength had drained to just a puddle. Using my last ounce of strength, I cloned myself, just as Ciela did. Then I made a humble home on Mercay Island. I used the Sand of Hours to make the hourglass and enter the temple. I studied my foe, searching for ways to defeat Bellum, and waited for my chance."
"Ciela, I'm sorry I could not tell you sooner. I worried about the spirits of Power and Wisdom. I never expected to find you on the beach. You'd lost your memory, and monsters were nearby. I thought it best to keep quiet until the time came."
- [Link stands up. Linebeck begins to lean on Tetra, who begins to rock back and forth.]
- Oshus:
"The sea's islands are rich with life force. The evil things appeared to devour that."
- [Tetra falls over. Linebeck falls into utter panic.]
- Oshus:
"They just want to fill their empty bellies."
- [Linebeck reaches down to pick up Tetra.]
- Oshus:
"They hunger for life force!"
- [Linebeck picks up Tetra and examines her for damage.]
- Oshus:
"The Ghost Ship was made to drain that life force. They used a story of treasure to lure people in. It wasn't enough for Bellum to steal MY life force. He had to take what little he could from the people."
- [As everyone begins to turn around, Linebeck quickly straightens out Tetra and assumes a serious, I-don't-care kind of pose.]
- Oshus:
"Tetra must have had a bold, vibrant soul. The Ghost Ship was drawn to that power. She didn't find it... It found her."
- [A peaceful tone of Zelda's Theme plays and Link brings his hand to Tetra's. Linebeck watchs at first, but realization dawns upon him.]
- Linebeck:
"Wait... so you're saying there's NO TREASURE?!"
- Oshus:
"Yes, that's what I'm saying."
- [Linebeck sways and then faints. Oshus turns around to talk to Link. Linebeck begins to crawl, unseen, to the other side of the room.]
- Oshus:
"From what I can sense, Tetra is still alive. There is an island north of the Isle of Gust. Go there and find Zauz. He is a blacksmith. He will tell you more about the great evil. He knows how to slay Bellum."
- [On the other side of the room, Linebeck calls out. Link's eyes go wide.]
- Linebeck:
"This is some kind of sick joke, old man! The treasure! What about all the TREASURE! That was the only reason I put my life on the line! And now there's no treasure? Well, I... QUIT!"
- [Link's eyes are still very wide. Ciela rushes up to Linebeck.]
- Ciela:
"You quit? Didn't you even listen to his story? You're a man of the sea... Don't you want to help the Ocean King?!"
- [Linebeck turns his back to Ciela. Link is still wide-eyed.]
- Linebeck:
"NO! And you can't use my ship anymore!"
- Oshus:
"Heh... heh... No, no. I would never ask you to do this for free. If you help us defeat Bellum... I will grant you one wish. What do you say to that?"
- [Dramatic music plays. Linebeck strikes several triumphant poses.]
- Linebeck:
"HEY! Quit standing around, kid! The Ocean King is in trouble! Ship out, kid! Anchors aweigh! I said, MOVE IT!"
- [Everyone else stares at him for a very long moment.]
- Oshus:
"Hmmph. One word about a wish, and he leaped to action! I'm so sorry... I shouldn't have involved you and Tetra in all this."
- Linebeck:
"What are you doing Link? Grab that Tetra of yours and get back to my ship!"

The Triforce - A site launched on January 24, 2009 by Matt, an administrator of Zelda Wiki.org. Immediately joined by Steve, also an administrator of Zelda Wiki.org. The site was created upon having disagreements in policy with various other sites that make up Zelda Wiki.org. It is the immediate successor of a dedicated forum that was to be the official forum of Zelda Wiki.org. As the other staff were adamantly opposed to the very idea of the wiki forum, that site was quickly abandoned. In its ashes arose The Triforce, on a different URL. The Triforce is a very young site. The purpose and aim of the site is to provide a friendly and vibrant atmosphere to various fans of the Zelda series that wish to discuss various topics regarding the The Legend of Zelda.

- This page was quite large at one point. I have since split it into subpages. This is for editing purposes only. It is much easier to spot mistakes in smaller pages. All the subpages that were split are transcluded here, meaning that they are displayed here. The Firefox hints page was too big to keep on this page. With everything that is on this page, the page size is just over 47,500 bytes. If I included the Firefox Hints into this page, the size would be just over 69,000. Because of the long loading time that would cause, I'm not going to include it on this page.

- It should work at any resolution larger than or equal to 1024×768, but no guarantees.
