Contacting

Well I use the name Axiomist on everything Zelda related. Facebook, msn.com, skype. So there you have enough info to get a hold of me if need be. Anyone reading this and often working on the wiki here should get skype and join us in the chat there. This helps us cut down on chatter on the Discussion pages, specifically Our Talk pages while trying to help people out. That's not to say Skype ever gets boring tho.

Current projects

  • Item Template: FSA article edits made me realize that Item pages are often sloppy, Bomb being one of the worst. So, this is sorta like a "Hail Mary" quest to see if I can't whip them into a presentable shape.
  • Merging- to tell you the truth, I loathe to merge pages, I love our high article count. But it's less meaningful if we can't say we have the most 'quality' articles. So therefore, if you see me slapping merge tags around, try to support or oppose it bc I might be wrong, maybe some pages could be better off on their own. But we can always split after a section gets enough info.
  • Sidequests! ZW has minimal info on the many sidequests of LoZ! Well, that's going to change. My edits may be rough at first, but I'll try to come around and fix it up more.
  • Secrets Sidequests in OoX (I can't find any info on them here) cracks knuckles
  • Anyone know if there are 100% completion checklists here? If not that might be a fun project to work on. For me anyway, I've been going through some of these games again, Like OoT on the GCN. I intend to 100% complete it on that as I had on my N64 cart.
  • Articles about anything from Link's Awakening
  • I'm gonna take a fistful of aspirin and get the ball a rolling on FSA articles. Nearly everything on that game is a stubby lidl article. embarrassing, shame.
  • Get a sensible navigation implemented to the wiki. A prototype of what I want can be viewed and downloaded here: http://zeldawiki.ourtoolbar.com/ I'm using it and trying to come up with some improvements to make on it. To be ultra useful for ZWers. Like if an app could be added to save your work in a WordPad doc, instead of on the wiki, spellcheck, grammar check, etc.

Interesting pages

I'm reminding myself to work on these pages. They could be completely awesome with enough effort. Hopefully the mere mention of these wikifos here, will encourage/inspire/torture others to whip these pages into articles we can be proud of having

Me

I've been playing LoZ ever since I can remember. I even kept all of the old manuals, game carts, and boxes. Yea that's dedication. Strangely, I don't know anyone else (irl) into those games unless they played them from me. Which is why I've only gotten to play FS once.

I was born and raised in Louisiana. It does my Acadian heart good to see one of our major heritage symbols in LoZ. The fleur de leis. You can see this on almost every page of PH's manual above the compass, and along the King's railing in the AoL manual.

Also I make Zelda themed puzzles. 2 major ones: Ocarina of Time Prayer Star(OoT based) and The Unspoken Promises of the Oracles (OoA/OoS based) & to date 3 minor tangrams. Later this month I'll have the OoT Prayer Star as a challenge on ZU. I've been making a puzzle based on the original LoZ game. I swear it's shaping up to be my finest puzzle creation yet, seductive, complex and yet so simple. It's mainly an art project but I'm horridly stuck on the riddle writing for it. I was only born with a talent for drawing, writing just doesn't come naturally to me. :P

Challenge yourself

I finally got around to posting my puzzle thread on ZU. http://www.zeldauniverse.net/forums/clan-arena/89335-ocarina-time-prayer-star.html This is sucking up a lot of my time, so if you see me editing less, I'm probably assisting people that are racking their brains trying to solve my puzzle.

Friends at Zelda Wiki

Everyone in our Skype Chat!! Adam: We rarely talk, but Adam's nicer than he may seem when he comments here. Give him a break dudes.
Dany36: A most knowledgeable contributor here, and a unique personality. Fun.
Josh: Has my appreciation for image uploads and help with FSA stuff. (don't tell him my name is Josh, Highlander thing)
Melchizedek: Introduced me to ZW from ZU. Awesome person to know! Expect the combination of us to keep the patrol backlog down.
Mandi: Always polite & helpful. I'm considering her a friend whether or not she's adding friends bc she's pleasant to talk to.
Mases: I'll admit it, I like the dude, I won't kiss his butt or anything, I just think he's got the best interests of ZW at heart.
Noble Wrot: Makes me laugh a lot. I have high hopes for his Symbols and Guides pages.
Triforce of the Gods: Good to have someone around adept at seeking out and destroying use of "you, the player" in articles.
Matt: He seems to be on around the same time as I am often. A true collaboration between us resulted in the theory tag beneath. (see: Monkey page discussion)

Theory Warning: Be advised that the following article or section contains unconfirmed, fan-made theories or speculation.

Isn't it awesome?

Alas, but it's not enough, Lately I've been going through Category: Articles Containing Theories and trying to get all of the theories somewhere near the bottom of the pages and above Trivia. When I see some that contains several theories, I just make a new section "Theories" and break it up. Moreover I'm wanting to number-list reason supporting or opposing theories. I can see this becoming a useful resource for theorists, once we clean it up.

Oh and some of the theories can wait until they have been tested on forums, so if ya put one up and I removed it, you can place it in your talk page. It'll be safe there, but truth is you need to bring it to a forum. It might die there, but it's for the best. On the other hand it may develop into a widely accepted theory worthy of being in an article.

Pages I made here :D

Battle Mode
Tag Mode
Bipin and Blossom's son
Warping
Gambling
some character list pages. :|
Rupee Wraith
Tingle's Tower
Stealth Missions
Auction
Realms of Hyrule just a listing, but a paragraph per section would be nice I tend to forget :p

Patrolling

This is going to be my first priority now. So things I otherwise want to do here will take a backseat. I can handle the responsibility and it's somewhat enjoyable. Not completely, mind you. I have to sort through some garbage pages I'd otherwise avoid as a casual user, and I intend to clean them up best I can as I run into them.

100%ing

Games I haven't 100% completed and what's holding me back OoA-I'm missing 2 rings. 2! I swear. One I'll never get it bc it's from the dreaded Goron Dancing, the other should have shown up in Gasha but never has.
TP-2 Poe Souls. 2 seems to be my unlucky number. Oh yeah, and I've only done the rollgoal twice.

More game chitchat

Stowfish, just caught it. After catching 96 fish I was ready to declare it a hoax :p. Well I'm still not sure what triggers it so I made notes for people to try replicating the feat. Ship Parts Equiped- All Demon Parts. (I've been fishing every area with each set)
Area Found- Northwest, just below the opening to the Isle of Ruins Other info- Big Catch Lure used, All other fish obtained, Found in a Large fish shadow, and I had spoken to the Old Wayfarer minutes before warping to go fish

MileStone Edit

This here line makes my 1000th edit. Other than this one I'd say they were all of respectable quality.

Guides

Yea I own a few, but as a rule, I don't use them to play the game. I buy them if I leaf through and like the artwork or whatever. I only use them after I've beaten the game. And only after I think I've looked everywhere for something.
