In Link's Awakening, Link's quest takes him on an adventure to recover the Eight Instruments of the Sirens, instruments that will allow him to awaken the Wind Fish. Each one is located in a dungeon.

The Eight Instruments
Full Moon Cello
The Full Moon Cello is the first of the Eight Instruments of the Sirens in Link's Awakening.[1] Link obtains it after completing the Tail Cave and defeating the guardian Nightmare, Moldorm.
Conch Horn
After vanquishing Genie in Bottle Grotto, Link is awarded the second of the Eight Instruments of the Sirens, the Conch Horn.[2]
Sea Lily's Bell
After slaying the Nightmare Slime Eye in the Key Cavern, Link is awarded the third of the Eight Instruments of the Sirens, the Sea Lily's Bell,[3] one of the instruments needed to wake the Wind Fish.
Surf Harp
After completing Angler's Tunnel and slaying the Angler Fish, Link is awarded the fourth of the Eight Instruments of the Sirens, the Surf Harp.[4]
Wind Marimba
After venturing Catfish's Maw, Link is awarded the fifth of the Eight Instruments of the Sirens, the Wind Marimba.[5] The Nightmare guarding it was Slime Eel.
Coral Triangle
After defeating Facade, Link is awarded the Coral Triangle, the sixth of the Eight Instruments of the Sirens.[6]
Organ of Evening Calm
After conquering Eagle's Tower and it's boss Evil Eagle, Link is awarded the seventh of the Eight Instruments of the Sirens: the Organ of Evening Calm.[7]
Thunder Drum
In Turtle Rock, Link is awarded the last of the Eight Instruments of the Sirens, the Thunder Drum,[8] after slaying Hot Head.
Ocarina
- Main article: Ocarina
While not officially called an Instrument of the Sirens, the Ocarina is critical to using them and opening the Wind Fish's Egg. It can be found within the Dream Shrine after obtaining the Pegasus Boots. The great importance of this Ocarina is shown after completing Eagle's Tower.[9]
