About
The Legend of Zelda: The Gerudo Wars is an indirect prequel to the fan game The Legend of Zelda: The Fallen Sage. It was leaked out on several gaming forums where anonymous users posted a banner of a bloody Triforce with nothing but the year '2009' on it. Fan speculation believed it was an actual official Zelda game, until the game's creator announced it was only a fan game. It is being developed by a different team then its predecessor's creator free of profit.
Originally the game used the Enlight Engine, a program that was used to make the game Warlords Battlecry III. However, it has recently been announced that the game will be made with EA's engine used to create the popular Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle Earth series.
Gameplay
Players will take control of one of seven different factions, though only the Kingdom of Hyrule, the Gerudo, the Kokiri, and the Gohma have been announced.
Story
Details about the plot are largely unknown. The game is set 50 years prior to the events of The Legend of Zelda: The Fallen Sage.
