Tarin

Tarin (タリン) is the father of Marin, the girl who finds Link washed up on the beach of Koholint Island in Link's Awakening. Like Talon, he has a large resemblance to Mario, and it's likely that this resemblance is intentional, as the game has many nods to Mario games. Tarin has big interest in mushrooms.

Tarin also plays a bigger role in Link’s Awakening then most people think. First by giving Link his shield back and second been solely responsible for Link obtaining the Honey to which Tarin is chased off by angry bees.
