Chronological history[]
This is not a theory. These are the facts, seen from the point of view of all game characters who did not travel in time. In other words, this is part of the official History of Labrynna.
Ambi's age[]
Link arrives to this age, where he finds the king near death due to an illness for which the Zoras cannot find a cure.[1] Thankfully, The young hero is able to cure the Zora King by giving him a Magic Potion, thus saving his life.[2] Atferwards, the King Zora expresses his gratitude towards Link, promising to never forget his good deed. The king also confirms that his illness was indeed caused by the filthy sea water.[3]
On Link's second visit, once he opens the library, he learns of a Fairy Queen who protects the seas from evil. However, the fairy, who lived on an island west of the library, has supposedly disappeared.[4] Some inhabitants of the library have reported seeing a strange beast inside the cave where the fairy used to live.[5] When Link goes to investigate for himself, he discovers that the strange beast is actually the Fairy Queen, who has been cursed by Veran. Veran's curse is also the cause of the filthy seawater. The Fairy Queen will ask Link to bring her some Fairy Powder to cure her.[6]
The Fairy Powder is found in the back room of the Eyeglass Island Library in the future age of Zelda.[7] With the Fairy Powder, Link is able to cure the Fairy Queen, who will then cleanse the seas.[8]
Zelda's age[]
When Link first arrives at the Zora Seas in search of the seventh Essence of Time, he will find the entire sea polluted once again, despite the Fairy cleansing centuries earlier. This fact causes much discomfort among the Zoras,[9] and much of the sea is blocked off. When Link arrives at the palace of the King Zora in Zora Village, the throne is temporarily empty. Link is told that the palace is abandoned because long ago, their king perished of an unknown illness, leaving the Zoras without a king.[10] This is clearly a lie, disproved by both previous and later events.
In fact, on his second visit during this age, Link finds the king alive and well. However, Lord Jabu-Jabu, the guardian of the Zoras (who holds the Essence of Time inside him), has also fell ill to the filthy seawater. The King Zora will only give Link permission to enter Jabu-Jabu once someone has cleansed the seas and cured Jabu-Jabu.[11] To aid him on his quest, King Zora grants the young hero the key to the Eyeglass Island Library, in the hopes that he can research the cause of the filthy seawater.[12]
Link comes back to the Zora Seas during his quest for the Fairy Powder. To obtain it, Link must solve a puzzle which requires that he have the Book of Seals,[13] found in the back room of the library in the present age.[14]
While Link is away, the Zora Seas get mysteriously cleaned. Link later gains permission from the King Zora to enter Jabu-Jabu's Belly.[15]

Regarding the Trivia[]
Alright, so, that little bit about certain islands seem to be shifting over the generations, THAT is fine. Everything else and your calculations on how many hears have passed, it is just unnecessary clutter, and I think it should be removed. But I'd like to discuss it before I do anything. - No problem. It was just a curiosity, and the result is quite approximate. Using real science to explain fictional magic is seldom a good idea.
The island doesn't just "seem" to shift: its shift is a plot element. In fact, Link has to travel in time in order to access the sea on the other side. ---Abacos (talk) 14:51, 17 August 2016 (UTC) - Anyway, how many centuries have elapsed between Ambi's age and Zelda's age?
