Talk:Sword of the Sages
From Zelda Wiki.org
I think this is wrong; wasn't it the Sage of Water who attacked Ganondorf and was subsequently killed by him? I'm sure there are six pillars around the Mirror of Twilight, and the Water emblem is the broken one (The Seventh Sage in OoT was Zelda, wasn't it?)
this IS wrong the caption under the Sage of water picture should be changed to the sage of light... look at the symbol on his clothes. It's not the water sage symbol it's the Light Sage's symbol.

Sage Medallions. Look at light, and then look at water... The symbol on the sage's clothes is that of the water sage...--Magnus orion 21:35, 24 March 2008 (EDT)
Please ignore the above comment... I looked at the picture wrong--Magnus orion 21:37, 24 March 2008 (EDT)
"The sword's shape seems to boast a type of long sword, though its size suggests that it is more of a katana-like blade instead."
- How does the size imply a katana? A katana is slightly curved with a single bladed side and a relatively small, usually round guard. This sword is clearly straight and bladed on both sides with an elaborate guard. I agree that it's probably a long sword, but it bears similarities to European swords and Chinese straight swords, not katanas. Anyone else agree? (I don't want to go changing the page without a second opinion). --Wodo, Sage of Mediocrity 17:41, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
- I'm no expert on swords, and from the look of it, you seem to know what you're talking about. So feel free to change it to what would sound more correct. Dany36 19:12, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

- Thank you! Updates made. This thing rather reminds me of a massive Chinese executioner's sword I once saw in a museum (about 6 feet in length), but I haven't been able to find any information since. --Wodo, Sage of Mediocrity 01:40, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
