I am new to this forum/wiki site, so am not sure exactly where I should put this, and figured I would ask the pros (all you guys).. But anyways, at the bottom of the Navi wiki page there is a link to the ocarina of time 3ds site, which showcases Navi by having her following around the mouse pointer on the web page. I thought that was pretty cool, and so I created an open-source project called nah-vee (https://code.google.com/p/nah-vee/) that is a cross-platform screen-mate application featuring the sprite sheet used on the ocarina 3ds website. If you guys think I should post or announce this somewhere else, or even you guys can spread the news. Currently I have a Win-32 (which works on 64-bit win too) build of it up for download, but soon will have Linux (32 & 64). I don't have a mac to do builds with, so that might come later if I get some friends on-board. Anyways, I'm just trying to get it out there and share it. - I would say that she would live about as long as the rest of the guardian fairies, and the guardian fairies must exist for a long time so as to remain with their non-aging partners. Also, I would guess that fairies are generally taken for granted (as most kokiris are never seen consulting their fairies for info or even acknowledging their presence). People only get annoyed by navi when they're trying to go do something and she's shouting "Hey" and "Listen". Especially when she's only telling you to go do what your going to do! Personally, she's only annoyed when i was a) doing the trading sequence...b)doing the water temple (as i had not yet completed started the fire temple)...and c)when i wasn't going to fight ganon, but, instead, doing sidequests. she was actually quite funny during the beginning ("excuse me!" "*screams*" "hey! wake up!"). and yet, it's only mentioned that that's the only time she spoke. MANY people were probably laughing at her

Manga[]

- No, the manga isn't canon. A "Manga" section could be added to the article, but it should not be stated as a canon fact.
- Also, it's never said that the fairy seen in Brawl is Navi -- in fact, I'd just about say that it's more likely that it's the cursor fairy. Remember, the Brawl Link is the Twilight Princess Link, not the Ocarina of Time Link. —Ando (talk) 03:30, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

But, Link doesn't see the cursor fairy. It's just a cursor. It doesn't affect the story at all. It's not even in the Gamecube version, the ACTUAL version of the game. I would say that it is Navi. Even if they're using the Twilight Princess Link, Brawl isn't exactly Canon. So they probably added Navi because she's a fan-favorite (well, fan-hated but well known) character. Plus, the Brawl fairy is blue, so it's a good possibility it IS Navi. Neither of the previous two statements made any sense, as they would probably use the same basic design (modified only to blend with surroundings, would look quite similar). Besides, I don't think that the Link from Brawl is a link from a canonical game at all, it is more likely that he was just fabricated for the game. Just a question: I assume you are referring to the Ocarina of Time manga, however, I don't remember her saying anything like that at all. So, Navi just strangely left Link in the ending of Ocarina of Time. The Kokiri are supposed to have a fairy each, and Navi was Link's fairy because he was young and he needed somebody to help him in his adventure. Because of the Master Sword and the Pedestal of Time's "time traveling", Link changes in look, but not in memory itself. That way, when Link defeated Ganon and faced a much larger danger, he had to change his childish mind and have the mind of a true Hylian Knight. That way he matured himself as an adult when he came back to the past. Since Navi was supposed to protect him because he wasn't old enough, he didn't need Navi anymore and so, Navi left him. Okay so the artbook Hyrule Historia, which was authorized by Nintendo and had Aonuma as its editor, confirmed that Link was indeed searching for Navi in Majora's Mask. Shouldn't the article be edited then so that it's no longer a theory? The Goron Moron 21:46, 26 December 2011 (EST)
Reorganization?[]
What is the expectation of this reorganized article to look like? I've seen several articles tagged with the Reorg template but nothing in the discussion page suggesting what the desired changes/layout should be. The reorganization help page seems to be out of date since it points to articles that have been reverted to an old format in contrast to the preferred format suggested by the examples. If we tag an article with the Reorg template, can a reason be stated in its respective talk page at least? That way we can get some discussion started and maybe a sandbox going for the proposed change instead of hoping someone will come along and know what is supposed to be expected. -- Dany36 (talk) 03:02, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
