No, he's not. Discussion Pages like this one is where stuff like that can be.... discussed. If there's no obvious connection to an article, post in on the main page's talk page. IfIHaveTo 05:34, 23 December 2007 (EST)

[edit] King Zora
Who came up with that ridiculous idea of TP KZ and OOT KZ being the same being? First of all, I can't find that written in the interview anywhere, and the name also seems kinda odd to me. King (Do Bon) Zora The Third? What about this quote: Zora's Fountain Don't disturb Lord Jabu-Jabu! --King Zora XVI. XVI = 16. Now, maybe this number refers to the surname, but since that is not mentioned in the game in any context ever, that would seem kinda odd to me. IfIHaveTo 05:59, 23 December 2007 (EST)
Wow, two years ago... but I agree and I feel this should be addressed. While I DO recall a vague quote from before the game's release saying that there would be a reference to an old character (implied to be King Zora), it's most likely in a similar sense of Link and Zelda returning in every Zelda game. Japanese, as a language, is not meant to be taken literally. It is most probably in the spiritual sense. Besides, answer me this - if this is the same King Zora as Ocarina of Time, and Rutela is his wife, then 1) where's Rutela and the prince in Ocarina of Time, 2) where's Ruto in Twilight Princess, and 3) Twilight Princess takes place GENERATIONS after Ocarina of Time, so how could the prince in Twilight Princess be so young and, well, ALIVE, with his (rather good looking) mother having been recently deceased? - Oracle of Ages clearly shows that Zora have extremely long life spans, the King Zora in the present is the same as the one in the past, remembering you clearly for saving his life 400 years ago (The 400 years being from a quot eof the Maku Tree).
- Ruto's mother is implied to have died pre-OoT, if I recall correctly. But it's likely that King Zora remarried, meaning Rutela and the prince (Whose name escapes me at the moment) are merely half-siblings.
- Now, where is Ruto? That's the million dollar question. She can't be fulfilling Sage duties, she wasn't awakened in the child timeline where TP happens. She was probably kille din the Twilight attack like Rutela was.Reign 20:28, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Grieving
At the end of Ocarina of Time, we see King Zora and Mido sitting away from the celebration, brooding. It seems to me that they've gotten the short end of the proverbial stick in this game. All in all, it seems King Zora has it a little worse, the Kokiri have hope for the future in the Deku Sprout, but check out this list of unresolved plot points they suffered. There's no way in the game to un-freeze Zora's Domain, is there? And we don't know what happened to Lord Jabu-Jabu, do we?
- King Zora
- Lost Ruto
- Lord Jabu-Jabu nowhere to be found
- Kingdom frozen over
- Mido
- Lost Kokiri Link (although that was seven years ago)
- Lost Saria
- Great Deku Tree dead (although Deku Sprout provides hope)
