Puzzle
I have heard that many people have trouble with the puzzle on the bottom floor, the one with the levers. Here is how to solve it: The sign gives you 24513 as the answer, but it does not work. To figure it out, let 12345 represent the levers. The number you were given can now be compared to the lever numbers:
- 24513
- 12345
The trick here is figuring that the given number is actually the levers in sequence with the order for each. So take the number of the given and compare to that of the levers and write down each number of the levers that correspond to each number in the given number. The resulting sequence is:
- 41523
- 41523
And that is the combination for pulling the levers!
If anyone could make this easier for anyone to understand, then perhaps we could add it to the article. It is a really clever puzzle after all. I would have liked it if using 24513 on the levers would cause another Reapling to appear. But that is just me.—Matt
