-Crap. We have a problem.
The "&" symbol is acting up again. For those who don't know, the Wiki software glitches sometimes, and causes anything after the "&" symbol in a page or image name to be cut off. This page's title was clearly intended to be "Game & Watch", but the software truncated it to "Game" because of the symbol.
We already have an article under the name of "Game & Watch". Normally I'd just delete this or make it a disambiguation or something, but it's got some good info in it that the existing article doesn't have. So this is the plan:
A solution to the "&" problem has been found. But until such time that it can be implemented, this page will be left for those who search "Game & Watch". Game and Watch still redirects correctly to the properly titled article, so anyone who searches that will get the other article. Once the problem is resolved, the articles will be merged and kept under the "Game & Watch".
So hopefully this gets fixed soon. —Ando (talk) 03:17, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Ando this is just like the dungeon in Oracle of Seasons, The Sword and Shield Maze. It has an & symbol and when you search it up it takes the 2nd part away as well and searches Sword instead. Just a heads up though! Onyx 04:06, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
Here are possible solutions:
Ampersand solution with root access
Ampersand semi-friendly solution with root access
We could try one of those and see if they work.Matt (T C F S) 04:31, August 13, 2008 (UTC)
It says "root access", but I think all it takes is access to the FTP.Matt (T C F S) 04:54, August 13, 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, that's the solution that I mentioned above. And no, unfortunately my FTP privileges don't allow me to make the necessary fix. "Root access" is direct access to the very core of the Wiki. I just have access to, well, the "upper layer", I suppose. More minor stuff like adding extensions, etc. This is a problem with rewrite rules, and I can't adjust that. We've discussed it on the staff boards, though, and I've thrown the solution at Jason since, so we'll see where it goes from here.
Also, thanks for the heads-up, Onyx! I'd forgotten about that particular article. We've also got Ball & Chain Trooper to worry about. But the "and" version should redirect. —Ando (talk) 05:18, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Hey!!! Apache says that this bug was fixed! We should checkout the bug report to see what we need to do.Matt (T C F S) 04:08, August 14, 2008 (UTC)
Looking at the changelogs, this bugfix is an option that can be enabled in Apache 2.2.9. I'm not sure what version we have (that is supposed to be on the version page but it isn't and I know we have Apache). But this version came out last June. So I don't think we have this version.Matt (T C F S) 04:27, August 14, 2008 (UTC)
Hold on, my Domain Details extension just kicked in. We have Apache version 2.0.63. We need to update.Matt (T C F S) 04:29, August 14, 2008 (UTC)
