Tal Tal Heights is the Link's Awakening equivalent to Death Mountain in the other games' installations. Located at the northern-most part of the map, Tal Tal Heights is the broad mountain range located on the mystical Koholint Island that Link awakens on upon being washed ashore from a fierce ship wreck. It is the source of most of Kolohint Island's water, with several waterfalls flowing from the eastern part of the mountains. This area has several dungeons, including Turtle Rock in the west and Eagle's Tower in the east. Along with these dungeons, Tal Tal Heights is also the home of the Wind Fish's Egg (atop Mt. Tamaranch), which is the final destination in Link's quest. This area also contains a warp pad and a telephone booth. A remixed version of the Tal Tal Heights background music is available in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
