Syrup (シロップ, Shiroppu) is an old witch who has made several appearances to date. Her name makes up the second part of an in-game joke when combined with the name of her apprentice, Maple (Maple Syrup).

A Link to the Past
Syrup first appeared in A Link to the Past where she owned a potion shop. After giving her a mushroom, she gave Link the Magic Powder.
Link's Awakening
In Link's Awakening, she lives in a small hut in Koholint Island's Mysterious Woods. She plays a similar role that in the previous game, where after Link gives her a Sleepy Toadstool she makes Magic Powder and gives him some.
Oracle of Ages/Oracle of Seasons
In Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons, she owns a potion shop, and has a granddaughter named Maple.
The Minish Cap
In The Minish Cap, she sells Blue Potion in a hut in the Minish Woods. It is also necessary for Link to buy a Wake-up Mushroom[1] from her in order to wake up Rem the shoe salesman.
