Spirit Island

Hidden in the Southwest corner of the South west quadrant is Spirit Island. This is where the Spirit Gems scattered around the game can be brought. The exact location of the island is in the very middle of a triangle of rocks which appears on the map. North from where the S. S. Linebeck docks is a cave - inside the cave is a pond containing a Spirit. Upon presenting 10 of the same Spirit Gems, the corresponding spirit's powers will be advanced. Leaf, The Spirit of Power, will enhance the sword's strength and cause it to burn with flames, Neri The Spirit of Wisdom will half the amount of damage taken and enhance the shield to stun some enemies. Ciela, the Spirit of Courage enhances the sword to shoot sword beams with every slash. The powers will become more effective after presenting 20 of each gem.
There is also a Courage Gem on the east side of the island, which the Grappling Hook is needed to find.
