Hidden in the Southwest corner of the Southwest quadrant is a mysterious island called Spirit Island. This is where collecting all those Spirit Gems finally pays off. North from where the S. S. Linebeck docks is a cave - inside the cave is a pond containing mystical powers. When you present 10 of the same Spirit Gems, the corresponding spirit's powers will be advanced. For example, Leaf, the Spirit of Power, will make your sword burn with flames. Also, there is a courage gem on the east side of the island; but you will have to pass by many Like Likes to get to it.
