In Link's Awakening, South of the Village is an area of Koholint Island close to Toronbo Shores, to the south of Mabe Village. To the east, but inaccessible, is the Signpost Maze. This region contains the entrance to Tail Cave There are two Secret Seashells in nearby bushes. Octoroks roam the area since Link's arrival on the island. This is the second area of the island visited by Link, as he must pass through it to get his sword which is in Toronbo Shores. The path in Mabe Village continues through the western part of this region before stopping at a cliff.
