Shadow Hag (影オババ, Kage Obaba) is a Poe Witch boss in Oracle of Ages. To defeat Shadow Hag, Link had to dodge the four shadows that went around the room. The four shadows would join together after a time and release moths. Reverting to a shadow every time Link looked at her, he faced one of the walls and used the seed shooter when she appeared behind him, bouncing the seed off it to hurt her. By doing this, eventually Shadow Hag was defeated, leaving behind a Heart Container and allowing Link to retrieve the Echoing Howl.

Strategy

The Shadow Hag will dissapear into shadow every time Link looks at her, so the only way to win this battle is for Link to turn his back to her, then when she charges, to fire a seed at the wall with the Seed Shooter. She is only vunerable when she is charging, so this is when Link must attack. The best way to do this is to lure her away from the moths she makes just before she charges. If he does not do this, the moths may intercept the fired seed.
