The Minish Cap
Characteristics and Weaknesses
Rupee Likes hide under the Rupees at the top of their stalks and use it to lure greedy and unsuspecting travelers. They come in 3 types: Green Rupee, Blue Rupee, and Red Rupee. The color of the Rupee indicates how many Rupees they eat at a time while taking them from Link. Rupee Likes appear to only be about 1/3 shorter than a Like Like, not counting their stalks, and can only engulf Link up to his neck. When they have captured the young hero, they hold his head with their stalks.
If a Rupee Like engulfs Link, it will suck his Rupees away and continue to do so until he struggles free (by mashing buttons) or if he runs out of Rupees. Rupee Likes are commonly found hiding in a large group of Rupees and are usually found at a corner or the middle of the formation. The Rupees they carry on their stalks are real and can be claimed among the undigested Rupees when they are slain. Rupee Likes will continue to chase down even a completely Rupeeless Link and taste the delicious hero, though this deals no damage.
Rupee Likes in Phantom Hourglass act exactly as the did in The Minish Cap, but are much larger, now the exact same size as Like Likes. Other than size, the only other difference is escaping them: Rupee Likes must be rubbed with the stylus to set Link free.
