Rauru’s Return is an award winning website[1] that was created by Ian (Archaic Sage) on February 19th, 2004, after he left Zelda Zero. Rauru’s Return is in the traditional Zelda site format, covering all details of the Zelda community and Zelda world, from traditional help guides right through rare media and Zelda news.

Mission

Rauru’s Return’s goal was originally to make sure that every aspect of the Community was filled, including timelines, fanart and fanfiction. However, over time the mission plan has changed many times and although fanart and fanfiction seem to play more of a background role in today’s Rauru’s Return, the fans are still catered for by the vast News Archive.

Hard Times

Since early 2007 Rauru's Return has gone through some hard times. After being hit by a hacker, the site has subsequently struggled to stay afloat and has fallen to the back burner of Zelda websites, as all of the previously available information has been hidden away.

On the 24th December, 2007 Rauru's Return re-launched with a new website, a new layout and very little content. Since that date, there has been semi-active news posts, and a very slow process of converting the old Zelda content into the new site's format.

Harkinian

The Harkinian is a side-project of Rauru’s Return which is arguably the Zelda community’s first electronic magazine. Each month the Harkinian writing team will sit down and write about different aspects of the Zelda community at length. The articles range from breaking news right through to expanding upon the smallest ideas possible, such as the funeral rights of a passing Hylian. There are also monthly interviews with the people who keep the Zelda community going, and the odd feature with fan artists.

Harkinian is currently inactive.
