Protection Ring

In both Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons, the Protection Ring can be found randomly in a Gasha Nut or by bumping into Maple. When worn it causes all damage Link receives be equivalent to one heart. Almost needless to say, this would be disadvantageous around weaker enemies, but beneficial around monsters that can dish out a large amount of damage in one hit.
