Parapa Palace is the first dungeon in The Adventure of Link. In it, Link finds the Candle, useful to illuminate dark caverns, and fights the high-tier Goriya enemy Horsehead. This palace is located in northern Hyrule, in the coast of the sprawling Parapa Desert, from which the Palace takes its name.
This palace isn't too big in terms of size, and helps Link to prepare for the increasingly difficult later dungeons; the enemies aren't too tough either, with the possible exception of the knights. This is possibly the first desert-oriented dungeon in the Zelda series, followed in the next game by the Desert Palace. The architecture is based on white-colored bricks, and there aren't too many keys to collect; additionally, this dungeon does not require any Spell to be previously mastered (although Shield is recommended).
Candle
The Candle is the first item Link encounters on his adventure. He finds it in the depths of the Parapa Palace after several people have told him he can't travel in dark caves without it.
