The Ordon Shield is a shield in Twilight Princess. It is characterized by the horns of the Ordon Goat drawn on its front.

Location and Uses

During the night of the invasion on Ordon Village, the villagers plan on using the shield and the sword that Rusl crafted to fend off the monsters. Link, in his wolf form, can enter Jaggle and Pergie's house from the roof and steal the shield off of the wall. Only after he has been turned back into a human by the Light Spirit can he use it.

Since this shield is made out of wood, it has the potential of getting burned by fire. The optional Hylian Shield can be acquired before entering the Goron Mines, which eliminates the danger if equipped since it is indestructible. Luckily, the Ordon Shield can only be torched if Link is L-Targeting - if the Ordon Shield catches fire, there is a time frame in which Link can preserve it by either returning the shield to its position on his back or switching to the Hylian Shield. In addition, arrows fired from Bulblins can latch onto the Ordon Shield, allowing Link to pick them up and steal them. In the event of the Ordon Shield's destruction, Link will be unable to obtain one just like it, and as such he must purchase a replacement Wooden Shield from various shops.
