Old Wayfarer

The Old Wayfarer is an old man who resides in a small home in Bannan Island. He seems to be obsessed with mermaids and has dedicated his life to find one. He appears in Phantom Hourglass and is part of 2 sidequests:

-The Mermaid Sidequest, a small sidequest where you must introduce him a fake mermaid in order to get the fishing rod. Bringing him a Loovar fish will get you the Big Catch Lure and will let you catch bigger fish.

-The Trading Sequence, where he will give you the Swordsman's Scroll in exchange for a wood heart.

Trivia

When you stand in front of the Old Wayfarer and talk to him, you can see something behind him that looks like Kotake. (As seen below)
