North Hyrule

In the original Legend of Zelda, North Hyrule is the area beyond Death Mountain, though is not referred to as so, yet used as a blanket title for the region.
In the games, the title of North Hyrule is used only for directional purposes whereas the actual names of landmarks in North Hyrule are more frequently used, i.e. Hyrule Castle or Castle Town as in Ocarina of Time. No directional terms such as this are marked on any map in any Zelda game, yet are just used by the players to signify regional boundaries.
