Nintendo 64 (ニンテンドー64, Nintendō Rokujūyon, NINTENDO64) is a video game console and the first true 64-bit system. It was released in June 1996 and was Nintendo's third system released in North America. It ultimately did not succeed to Nintendo's standards due to poor 3rd-party support. Regardless of this, however, people did enjoy the relatively few games the Nintendo 64 did have, and still do to this day. The system debuted with three titles - Super Mario 64, Pilotwings 64 and Saikyou Habu Shogi - and by the end of its life in 2002 it only had a little over 200 titles. The last game for Nintendo 64 was Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 (2002). Some of the most popular, and the five best selling games of the console are Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Goldeneye 007, Ocarina of Time and Pokémon Stadium.

  • This was a re-mastered version of Ocarina of Time, and would have been included with the Nintendo 64 Disk Drive, but never made it out of Japan.
