The Master Stalfos was as mini boss in Link's Awakening in Catfish's Maw. Master Stalfos was fought four times, and upon defeat, he left you with the Hookshot. Link defeated Master Stalfos by hitting him with his sword, and then placing a bomb on him, and repeating until he left the room or was defeated.

Master Stalfos bears a resemblance to the Stalfos Warrior from A Link to the Past, and those from Twilight Princess, both in appearance and in the way Link defeated him.
