Appearances
Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask
There are three types of Milk: Lon Lon Milk, Romani Milk, and Chateau Romani. Each Bottle of Milk has two servings. While it is not as powerful or as energizing as the Red Potion, it does the job of recovering Link's health with great taste. Milk can be obtained directly from the Cows found inside some Secret Grottos, or in the two ranches. After playing Epona's Song to a cow, it will reward Link with a free serving of Milk.[1] Chateau Romani, however, can only be obtained from the Milk Bar in Clock Town.
The milk that can be purchased from the Milk Bar apparently has an inebriating effect, as evidenced by Gorman, who overindulges after finding out his troupe's show is cancelled.[2] This may be one of the reasons Chateau Romani is considered a drink for adults.[3]
In Majora's Mask, Link must protect several containers of milk during a sidequest involving Cremia. When her path to Clock Town is blocked, forcing her to drive through the Gorman Track, Link can use his Bow or the Circus Leader's Mask to ward off two masked bandits who attack her cargo.
The Wind Waker
The café on Windfall Island in The Wind Waker serves Lon Lon Milk, as a chalkboard written in Hylian advertises it along with "Deku Seed Cake" and "Zora Coffee." However, Link cannot purchase any. Empty Bottles in the Nintendo Gallery bear text saying "Lon Lon Milk."
The Minish Cap
In The Minish Cap, after finding the key to Talon's house, Malon goes to Hyrule Town to sell the Lon Lon milk. The Bottles are carried on Epona and are 100 Rupees each.
At one point during the development, it was possible for Lon Lon Milk to turn into butter;[4] however, this feature was removed.[5]
Twilight Princess
Milk returns in Twilight Princess. In this game, it is goat milk. One serving restores three hearts, and a bottle holds two servings. Link gets his first bottle of Milk from Sera after helping her, but it's only half full.
Phantom Hourglass
Milk is sold in the Milk Bar on Mercay Island; however, it cannot be purchased.

| Lon Lon Milk | The pride of Lon Lon Ranch is this delicious and nutritious milk. When Link played "Epona's Song" for Lon Lon Cows, they would perk up and provide him with a bottle full of the tasty beverage. The fact that Link sometimes used bottles that had housed bugs is a matter of questionable hygiene. In Super Smash Bros. Melee, Young Link drinks milk instead of taunting. | Get a total time under 25 minutes in Target Test |
