King Bulblin (キングブルブリン, Kingu Buruburin) is a new villain in Twilight Princess, first appearing in Ordon Village. He is the one who shatters the peaceful life of Link by invading the Ordona Province to clear the way for a Twilight portal to appear over the Ordon Spring. King Bulblin then kidnaps the children of the village, but they manage to escape to Kakariko Village. He later kidnaps Colin and escapes to the center of the Eldin Province, where a horseback battle takes place. Link must chase after him and slash off his armor while King Bulblin's legion of monsters chases him on Bullbo. After slicing off all of his armor, the king retreats to the Bridge of Eldin, where he rides Lord Bullbo against Link in a jousting battle. Link must charge toward him, dodge, and attack. After a while, King Bulblin is flung off the bridge and snaps one of his horns in half but survives.

After the battle, he is fought again at the Great Bridge of Hylia. He is fought this time by shooting arrows into the weak spots in his armor. After Link defeats him, King Bulblin is flung over the side of the bridge again, and snaps his other horn in half but once again survives. Before entering the Arbiter's Grounds, he engages in a sword and axe duel with Link in a Bulblin camp, and when he is defeated, he sets the camp on fire.

After defeating him in the East Courtyard (or west, for Gamecube) of Hyrule Castle, he will give up and accept defeat, talking to Link for the first and last time and telling him "I serve the strongest side...that is all I have ever known", implying that as a child King Bulblin did not learn how to love and was not taught emotions by his parents. When King Bulblin speaks, Midna is dumbstruck that he can even talk at all. In the end credits he is seen riding around Hyrule Field with both horns grown back, which may symbolize the Bulblins being at peace with the other Hyruleans.

King Bulblin makes an appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl on the stage Bridge of Eldin as a enemy. He will appear and with bombs blast away a good deal of the stage. The part of the stage he blasted away will be fixed by a Twilight portal.
