The Ho Ho Tribe are a group of seven "telescope"-wielding, treasure-seekers in Phantom Hourglass. They can be found sailing in the Southeastern quadrant of the World of the Ocean King, but they originate from the land of Wayaway.[1]
In the game, they buy a specific treasure from Link that changes from time to time, for more money than the Teller of Treasures found on Mercay Island. The amount they offer and the item they seek changes at midnight on the internal clock of the Nintendo DS.
During the Phantom Hourglass trading sequence, Hoiger Howgendoogen, who is the only member of the tribe who doesn't have a telescope, will trade Link the Guard Notebook for a kaleidoscope. When not looking through his telescope, his right eye will be bloodshot red, likely from looking through the telescope too much.
