Hacks From WiiBrew.org [1]

A Wii console with Homebrew Channel can run Gecko, which allows the use of hack codes for Brawl and other games. It can also run Brawl+, a comprehensive mod to make the game more competitive. But Wii Menu 4.0 blocked the old method of installing the Homebrew Channel.

But with a North American or Japanese Wii console and the matching version of Brawl, you can run the installer for Homebrew Channel using a flaw in the Stage Builder's loader.

  1. Start the game, go to Stage Builder, and delete all custom stages, including the three sample stages. Move any that you want to keep to an SD card. Turn off the console.
  2. On a PC, download Smash Stack and HackMii Installer. Put the SD card in your card reader. Then rename the private folder to privateold, and copy HackMii Installer and the private folder from Smash Stack and to the root of the card.
  3. Start the game, put the SD card back in the console, and go to Stage Builder. The game will freeze for a few seconds while HackMii Installer loads.
  4. Follow the prompts to install the Homebrew Channel.
