Goponga Flowers are evil creatures who inhabit Spool Swamp and Goponga Swamp, the later of which is named after them. These flowers are poisonous, so it's best to avoid touching them. Some members of the species can generate and fire flame-like spherical projectiles from their core when prey or a threat has entered their domain. In Link's Awakening, letting Bow-Wow eat them is the most effective way to get rid of these nuisances.

Giant Goponga Flowers are larger variations of these plants which, unlike their smaller counterparts, can be found exclusively in Goponga Swamp.
