Gerudo Fortress
From Zelda Wiki.org
The Gerudo Fortress is located at the far end of Gerudo Valley, and is the gateway to the Haunted Wasteland. It is heavily guarded by the Gerudo, who will throw any tresspassers into a cell. When Link was caught, he was thrown into a cell high above the complex, which he escaped from by Hookshotting a wooden hatch. Other cells can be found throughout the complex.
The Fortress is a confusing complex, with a maze-like interior and halls leading to various parts of the outside of the fortress. Both outside and inside, naginata-armed Gerudo are on patrol; inside, they are reinforced by Gerudo Warriors armed with twin scimitars, who will fight any intruder, and either kill them or throw them in a cell.
When Link visited the Fortress, he had to use all his cunning and stealth to pass the Gerudo and rescue the Carpenters the Gerudo had captured. He learned he could stun the patrolling Gerudo with his Bow, considerably easing his quest. After defeating the four Gerudo Warriors that guarded the cells of the imprisoned Carpenters, he received a Gerudo Membership Card, allowing him to explore the complex at his leisure.
The Gerudo Fortress contains the Gerudo Training Grounds, and there is a large track in the back for practising horseback archery.
