Gengle

Gengle (ゲンゴロウ, Gengorou) is Jovani's cat, who was also cursed along with Jovani when he sold his soul to the Poes for riches. Gengle is now a solid gold crown on top of Jovani's head. After you get 20 pieces of Jovani's soul back, Gengle will return to normal. However, Jovani will remain solid gold (though he is able to move) until you get the rest of the Poe souls. Jovani will then return to normal as well.

Gengle is revealed to be the leader of the cats in the town. The cats gathering outside Jovani's house say that they are waiting for master, or boss Gengle to come out and play. After you find all 60 Poe souls and Jovani recovers, Gengle will give you a rupee worth 200 rupees each time you enter the house from that time forward.
