The Geldman (ゲルドマン, Gerudoman), similar to the Geldarm, is a desert-faring creature, hiding just beneath the hot sands. When a foe approaches, the Geldman quickly surfaces and pursues, only to retreat back under the sand. The Geldman is featured in A Link to the Past and Four Swords Adventures. In Japanese, "Geld" is read the same as "Gerudo", suggesting a connection between the sand monsters Geldarm and Geldman, and the desert or beach-dwelling Gerudo race featured in later games. This connection is lost in translation.
