Frostare appears as a frozen eye which hangs from the ceiling, out of reach. It is attached to the ceiling by a root, and releases miniature flying versions of itself. To defeat it, Link must reach the room in the upper part of the screen and defeat the creature inside to detach Frostare's root from the ceiling. After this, Frostare will fly around the room throwing objects. Jump from platform to platform and attack it in the eye with your sword. When it falls to the ground, use a down thrust attack to finish it off.
It is similar in appearance to Arrghus.
