The Fire Cepalopod appeared as a mini-boss of the Turtle Rock Dungeon in Link's Awakening, and is identical in appearance and behavior to the Cueball, which inhabited the water-filled labyrinth of Angler's Tunnel. It somewhat resembles an Octorok or Spiderock (believed to belong to the same family[1]), and behaves very similarly, save for its ties to fire (appearing in a room filled with lava) instead of water like Octoroks in later games.
