Shield Spell

A very useful spell that can be obtained in the Adventure of Link. It will create a magical shield around Link, reducing the damage he takes by half. It is the first spell Link should obtain, and can be found in the wise man's house in the town of Rauru.

Jump Spell

Jump Spell

A spell that makes Link jump higher. Get it by claiming the trophy in a desert cave in the north and taking it to a woman in Ruto town. This spell is required to get to the second palace, and will surely help Link to get to other places as well.

Life Spell

The Life Spell is a very useful healing spell in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. Get it by finding the mirror under a table in a house in Saria Town and take it to a woman walking in front of the wise man's house. While this spell doesn't recover very much life energy, it will surely save Link's life many times.

Fairy Spell

A strange spell that temporarily turns Link into a fairy. While Link can't attack enemies in his fairy form, he'll have some great advantages in it. The ability to fly will help Link get into high places, and the small size of a fairy will enable him to get through small holes. When he activate the spell in a palace, he can fly through the keyholes of locked doors. If Link doesn't have an extra key with him, that may be a helpful feature.

In order to get this spell, Link must find the medicine in a swamp cave near the second palace and bring it to an old woman in Mido town.

Fire Spell

The Fire Spell is only featured in The Adventure of Link, and is useful when it comes to defeating tough enemies. It allows Link to shoot fireballs out of his sword from far and close distances.

Spell Spell

The Spell Spell is one of the most enigmatic spells learned in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. It is learned very late in the game, and seems to have only one plot-related use, which is to open up another builiding in the same town. The other use of it is to turn several enemies into bots.

Link learns this spell from an old man in New Kasuto Town.

Reflect Spell

The Reflect Spell is one of the most important spells learned in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. It is used to reflect spells with the shield, and also allows the shield to block several otherwise-unblockable attacks. The Japanese game calls it "Reflex".

Link learns this spell from an old man in Darunia Town, after retrieving a lost child.

Thunder Spell

The Thunder Spell is one of the most important spells learned in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. It is the only way cause Thunderbird's face to appear, which is its weak spot. The Thunder Spell is also a very powerful spell in general, as it destroys all non-boss monsters on the screen. The only drawback is that it is a very expensive spell to cast.

Link learns this spell from the old man in Old Kasuto Town.
